The official Witcher 3 thread

Raru has dispatched my order, should get it tomorrow. Although I am not nowhere close to completing the main game, I am getting into it more and more, been playing a lot lately...before DooM.... But wanted to get the physical edition as it comes with some nice extras.

Another thing, the game is really gorgeous looking...those weather effects are very well done.
 
I've downloaded the patch and the new expansion, but I have noticed a couple of issues: firstly, I seem to be stuck on level 35 with 2000/2000 experience. Secondly, there is this seriously annoying "feature" that whenever I hold the down button in the inventory, it flips to the Geralt profile screen. Holy hell it's driving me insane.

I like the new graphical improvements though...
 
Played about 2 hours or so last night. Really want this day to go by fast so I can return to Toussaint tonight. Such a beautiful place. My quest log is already swamped with stuff to do and I haven't even seen half of the new map yet.
 
So I am extremely fucked off with steam right now...somehow some of my saves have vanished...Ended at lvl37 really well geared and when I logged in today I couldn't find one save at that point..really disappointing :(

Can someone confirm I'm reading this correctly...

Was about to purchase B&W and noticed the Expansion Pass alongside. If I buy the Pass, would that give me both the expansions for R90-odd less than just Blood and Wine by itself?

The pass will definitely give you both expansions yes. That price for Blood and wine there seems to be for the game and the one DLC though.

Thanks Wlad. Can confirm that buying the Expansion Pass at R250 immediately gives me the option to download both expansion packs.

I initially also thought the R339 price on the Blood & Wine expansion had to include other stuff, but the Origin purchase page for it clearly states "to use this add on you must own the base game". https://www.origin.com/en-za/store/.../addon/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-blood-and-wine. It's also on Steam at the same R339 price, and also clearly marked there as DLC requiring the base game to play : http://store.steampowered.com/app/378648/

Not complaining :)

Aah ok, my mistake then. Just weird that Hearts of Stone is R90 and Blood and Wine R340. Probably because it's a new release.

So where is everyone buying the expansion pass? I feel pretty miffed because I got the game on GOG and now it's the most expensive place to get the expansion pass, at R400.

There doesn't seem to be any way around this for me.

There was a sale on all things Witcher-related recently on GOG, including the expansion pass, so I think your timing is just off. Sorry dude. I feel your pain though, I paid full price for the expansion and the game.
