The only Triple A dev that hasn't disappointed

Me and a friend were talking about the CRAP money-whoring game developers we have these days 2 days ago. And then it hit me. The only game dev's that HASN'T disappointed is Valve. I mean they've only given us good games. Half life 1 and 2 including the episode's,Portal 1 and 2, DotA,Team fortress all good games and I'm sure there are more.

What is your opinion on this matter?
 
They disappoint me every day - when I check the news and still don't see any mention of HL3.

Well, another dev that never disappointed was Blizzard. Before Activision/Blizzard. Though, D3 just JUST made it into the acceptable range of games.
 
I don't like Dota 2 or Team Fortress 2, and I also don't think the left 4 dead games are that great, so you could say I was disappointed by them. I wouldn't say that any one their games are horrible, though.

Also a company that can't bring out sequels in a reasonable time should not end their games with cliffhangers, that's just mean in my opinion.

The only Blizzard game that ever disappointed me was World of Warcraft, when I learned it would be an MMO. I was a big WarCraft fan but WoW ruined it for me.

Bioshock Infinite was actually a major letdown for me. It was a 1999 game with a story from 2013.
 
I can't think of any as I don't like all games from a specific developer. EG Blizzard I don't like WoW or Starcraft. Valve I don't like DoTA or TF. etc etc....

I must say there's a special place in my heart for Bullfrog, Lionhead.

Well tbh A LOT of people consider it to be one of the best stories in a game. But as a game itself it was pretty shitty I got really frustrated with the game mechanics etc. but let's leave that for another thread ;)

I don't know how far back they go, but from everything I have of them, no disappointment yet.

Left 4 Dead 2 REALLY didn't do it for me... I regretted wasting that money within the first couple of minutes in the game. Didn't even bother with L4D 1 after that. Team Fortress didn't interest me either, but at least I didn't waste money on it.
DoTA I will buy if I can get to play it for free first. My current account only allows me to watch other people play and I'm not taking the gamble that I won't like it.

Damn Viper, I will send you a DoTA 2 key right now. It's not something that I enjoy but maybe you will.

I'm sorry but no, in my books D3 was an epic failure. I really despise Blizzard for ruining one of my favourite franchises of all time.

Thanks... I'll try to load it over the weekend when I reboot.
I've loaded a DoTA 2 key before, but it only allowed me to spectate. Will see this weekend what all the fuss is about :)

I have to fully disagree with you on that, After having a run through of Bioshock Inf and watching the overall story line of it, it's by the far the best Bioshock. I didn't enjoy Bioshock 1 and 2 at all, then I was introduced to the 3rd installment of the series and completely drooled over the game.

It has impressed me thus far and I will get my hands on it for Xbox when I have some spare pocket change lying around :o.
