Can anyone recommend a mod for tweaking the graphics to the max? I need it to look better lol

Currently running the game on ultra on maxed settings @1920x1080 and still get the constant 60fps.

Here is a good water / environment one. Changes the water texture, the bumpiness, and environmental colour etc. Have a look at the video to see it in action:

Hope this helps, there are sooooo many mods already and they really help to make your game look epic.

I'm not a fan of the rock textures and certain walls... too shiny and fake/plastic looking.

Other than that I think it's pretty well done.

Still can't apply mods, computer won't give me permission.
Where do i set permission because it seems each time i try to change things close to the system files it reverts them back.

Is it a file permissions error?

Have you tried giving your username full access on Skyrim's folder?

If this is the problem, right click on the folder, properties.

Security tab.
Edit button.

Click on your username and select full control under allow.

I usually do this on my hard drives themselves as CopyHandler has a fit at times and sometimes I can't unzip stuff.

Nope no indication.

I love these modders. Dedicated individuals who will bring us textures so awesome we might never be able to use them.

I will still try and see how my pc handles it.

finally got mods to work.had to add bEnableFileSelection=1 under 'launcher' in the SkyrimPref file.all i have to do now is add whatever mod i want to the data folder then enable it on the launcher (the data files was greyed out before)

Can somebody post a youtube video with comparisons. Dont have the game yet, saw it the other day and was really disappointing, graphics wise. This looks like it`s got potential.

So for those of you who might want a better colour scheme for your post process injector and think that the nights are way too bright, check out this mod.

A truly dark night

The reason I posted this was basically I felt that the night was too bright and some of the other FXAA settings were too high and the colours were over saturated.

I can't remember which game it was, it was either Two Worlds 2 or Gothic 4: Arcanium, now they had these dungeons and burial mounds that you could explore, but there was absolutely no light in these burial mounds.

So if your torch burned out you were stuck in the most absolute darkness you could imagine, it was scary as hell and did wonders for the immersion of those areas. With a torch you could at best see about 5 meters in front of you.

So this seems like a good middle ground between total nothingness blackness and just an awesome dark night.

This list was made in response to DCBloodHound who felt that the game wasn't difficult enough as is and that well some things should be more difficult.

So if you feel the same or would like to try your axe swinging hand out at a more challenging game experience, try these mods.

Someone needs to bring out a mod that makes the game more challenging,so that you can barely keep up even with dragon armor and Deadric weapons.

i'm starting over again.i want to make a mage hunter,a character that can hunt mages and is resistant to frost, fire and shock with heavy armor to boot.

I was thinking of going Nord for the 50% cold resist then enchanting a ring and necklace for 50%fire resist and shock resist.after that i'll rank up block so i can get the elemental perk which grants 50%resist to all 3 elements while i block. Finally enchanting a sword for mana drain.

There was a mod to make the game more difficult when fighting dragons, but the author has hidden the mod, so I guess he's making changes or waiting for the Creation Kit in January.

But here are a list of mods that will make the game more challenging.

Weighted Gold
Simply adds weight to gold so you can't carry so much. Gold coin now weighs 0.01 i.e. 100 gold coins = 1 unit.
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=650

Cut-throat Merchants
Makes merchants greedy little bastards that sell items for more gold and buy them for much less.
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2762

Deadlier Traps & Sickly Diseases
Make traps deadlier by adding more damage, poisons and diseases as well as magic damage to them.
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2905

Subliminal Traps
This should work great with the above trap mod as it re-textures traps to be less visible.
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2653

Remove Stealth Indicator
Sneaking just got more difficult as you have to monitor your surroundings more and not rely on some meter telling you they can't see you.
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=279

Fuzzies Realism Mod
No fast travel, no compass, no HUD, no quest tracking. Find it yourself bitch!
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=235

Pacing Revamp
This mod revamps the skill gain for certain skills. It tries to balance the skills equally, so no more spamming craft Iron Dagger to quickly level up and max out your Smithing. Other skills have been increased since they take insanely long to level.
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1992

Fingersmith
This mod increases the difficulty of lockpicking.
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1336

Realistic Colors and Real Nights v12 with HDR
This mod is more graphical as it enhances colours and makes it look pretty, but it also makes the nights a lot darker.
http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1875

True Nights
This is also a darker nights mod so check this out if the one above doesn't suit your tastes.

I haven't found any other mods that really change the difficulty of the game, once the creation kit comes out there will be lots more, if there aren't I will try my hand at making stuff a lot more difficult.

But I hope that these might make your experience a lot more challenging.

thanks for the list there, will certainly give some of them a try, some parts of the game are a bit easy then others i find im battling a little but i havent gotten very far yet. will probably finish the game once through then consider modding for the second play through.

Since I'm shallow and like beautiful things here is a mod to make your female character in Skyrim look like a super model, instead of some haggard and dirty street wench...

Better Females
Total re-skin of the female characters in Skyrim to well make them more pleasing to behold. Really does a great job of it too.

It deserves a screenie!

I will be posting more of these or maybe some sexy armour mods later, but I have to pretend that I'm working...
