Aint that the truth. Good thing I have a fruit salad for 9am & a apple for 11am. Lunch at 1 with a light snack at 3.

No sitting in traffic, no having to fear for your life as taxis perform out takes from Carmageddon, just sit back and relax. Unless it busy or the Olympics are in town at which point it can get unbearable, luckily these times are in the minority.
 
See I could handle even the busy trains, the ones where your nose gets stuck in someone's armpit for 20mins. But the main thing was it was fast, cheap enough and just so convenient. I really miss it. Even though I dont sit in traffic like some people, it would have meant me taking a job in town if we had proper transport.

Yep, plus if the train is crowded it only ever stays that way for 15 min, if your journey lasts that long. Cheap is right, for £30 I get a 7 day travel card and I can go anywhere in zone 1 - 2 with a £10 pay as you go should I need to go further out.

Altho to be honest, yes it would be great to have those kind of connections, but seriously all I REALLY miss from the UK at this point in time is the travel, it was just so easy to go places and the specials at the back of the tnt mag was awesome = we scored a few 1 pound train trips to Wales and Brighton and even Windermere.

I would love to be able to hop on a train alone here and go up to jhb to see some friends for a weekend, something you could do in the uk but not here.

You know what I miss from SA, a part from Romans Pizza? Not a damn thing.
