The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition: all you need to know

Got my ass handed to me by a nekker mob last night, and by a drowner mod and several times by a group of 3 humans. :( Does make you feel extremely mortal. I plan on getting several decent hours in this weekend.

"....highly trained in killing monsters and creatures using acrobatic swordplay and an array of other weapons while under the influence of potions."

Sounds like my usual friday nights at Zeplins....lol...although, no monsters or swords, but loads of potions

I spent some quality time in the Company of Geralt of Rivia this weekend and must say I enjoy it alot more than the Original. I've finished every quest in Chapter One (fail one or 2) but generally found the story to be alot more mature that the Witcher 1. Sure in 1 the setting and tone was the same but some of it, especially the nudie card collection thing felt very juvenile while 2 feels alot more mature. I've also started mastering the combat system and while I personally still prefer the Soul series's brand of melee combat the Witcher 2's is a close second.

Almost done with my second playthrough. Gonna have to do a third playthrough because I want to craft some rare armour but didn't bring any money or crafting items to Act III. Here's a tip for anyone playing, make sure you bring lots of money to Act III: there is a lot of expensive (good) equipment you can buy and if you do a certain side quest (Mystic River) there is a very powerful piece of armour that can be crafted, if you have enough orens and equipment.

EDIT: Quick question to guys playing more X360 than me. Is there a way to back up my savegames? I want to keep my Witcher 2 savegames in case Witcher 3 comes to X360, but since you only have 12 save slots and I'm starting my third playthrough soon I want to back up my savegames so I can save them on my PC or something. Is this possible?

Thanks to being a completionist I got that armor on my first playthrough. I had no idea that you needed to fulfill specific tasks in different chapters. Great armour though. :D

Haha, yeah I knew about the armour from my playthroughs on PC, but I completely forgot that I need a lot orens (and components) to make it. Now I'm in Act III with something like 300 orens to my name and none of the components I need to make the armour (except the other armour, of course). Feel like such a dumbass :p And because of the limited savegames I don't really have a savegame I can load to try to make some money before going to Loc Muinne.
