This is why you can't trust Steam reviews

Stupid bots. I make my decisions based on screenshots, videos, reading the top rated and negative Steam reviews and glancing at the metacritic score.

Heh, I was concerned that my previous posts re: fighting and negativity might set people on edge. Oh well, I just wanted to folks to have fair warning if a post gets deleted, so it doesn't seem out of the blue.

I actually don't know the answer. I know we've written about funny Steam reviews before, but not botting. If there's been another discussion... let's rope those posts in here!

I think Steam's recent reviews feature may help combat this - and the fact that the most helpful reviews are displayed first and these random bot reviews wouldn't likely be seen as helpful.

Aah yes, that's right. I think you're right on the money there, regarding the funny Steam reviews.
