srsly eh ......... 90% of mah youth spent in Afrikaans towns and Afrikaans schools with 99% Afrikaans friends and I didn't know that until now :D

Ok so if you had REAL afrikaans friends what is the meaning of "skoppelmaai"?
i was dumfounded when someone used this word.....for something that i have always known by another name...

is that a hint of sarcasm im getting Omega? mmmmmmmmmm?

sarcasm from me, never. Lol Nah i was just fooling around. My Ego doesn't need stroking. I couldn't care less what anybody thinks.

The TK is a poespas.... now we will see the real afrkaaners come out of the wood work...

.... errr, come again, again

..... French 1st name, English 2nd name, Afrikaans surname ;)

weird is that

French 1st name for me, English 2nd name and Afrikaans surname aswell.

The difference between me and you is I was brought up english, but had to "learn" afrikaans from primary school onwards as we only lived in Afrikaans communities, with Only Afrikaans schools available.

Afrikaans is and has been for a while now my 1st language, but I dont have a brakpan accent when I converse in the english tongue :p

Ditto bru, my household was English but due to where we lived (Sasolburg, Komati, Witbank, etc), I had to adapt from a very young age.
