Question, I need to figure out the ip for my wireless router - we use a normal router to connect to the net and then we have a secondary one so i can have internet and wifi access in my part of the house. I have no idea what the wireless pass on it is, and need to connect new phone to it so it can update.

Ironically i have the main router's ip address . . ..

You can probably use ipconfig or do a tracert to find it but I don't know why you would need its IP address to connect to the WiFi. The SSID should show up on the phone's WiFi settings then you just choose it.

I need the password . . . so to check what it is I need to look at the router settings and change it to something we shall remember in this house

Ipconfig only gives me the netgear ip, since i am connected to the wireless router via ethernet cable (wifi in our house is dodgy at best, hence the totolink router to boost the signal in my area - i use it only for my phone and tablet.)

Maybe reset it and set a new password. Sounds like the easy way out to me. (If it is only for those two devices.)

Ah ok, so you need to actually access the WiFi router. Try do a tracert and check the first hop (before the ADSL router). Hopefully that can tell you

Online chess? How much fun is that, am I right!? :p

Kidding! But seriously don't you have any other online games to play?

Haha I love chess! I'm busy studying a new opening that I've been trying out. Even though I really want to play pc games I find myself playing or studying chess most of the time.
