I've never coded in VB. I used to be a C/C++ programmer but these days I mostly code in C#. I just love C#. *gives it a big hug*

Unfortunately at the moment I'm busy with a c++ program and it's annoying me to no end.

I went to CT I in PE, did a IS: Engineering Course. I had to 1 Programming Language. I think the choices were VB.NET, C# & C++.

I sucked in the module leading up to the programming language. Spoke to my lecturer, he told me in NO way would I be able to do or even complete C++ because its so hard.

Being the stubborn guy I am, I took it on just to prove a point. And I greatly surprised him by completing it. But today, I know nothing of it anymore! \:D/ (stupid move).

Some time ago I started playing with VB and XAML. and by playing I mean just fiddling to see what I could do. Liked it a lot.

Can I ask you guys a favour?

I've got a website: http://hostingweb.co.za

Now the thing is that it doesn't look like people know how to use the thing right. Does the site make sense?

The main bit is to get to the current Best Website for your money guide and as soon as you hit the site it's the main attraction. Then there's also links to:
- A list of South African websites (that almost never gets any traffic) which points to places where you can find the current prices and a little bit of info on the hosts (gets no traffic whatsoever).
- VPS testing, that's new so haven't really got stats on it.

What can I do to make the site make more sense to people?
Seems pretty straightforward to me.

Ya VB has always been nice and easy to read, and I've been using it since VB6 *shudder

But C# is a much more standard syntax and it's easier to jump between eg C# and Javascript than VB and Javascript. I'm usually jumping back and forth between VB, HTML, CSS, T-SQL and Javascript (and JQuery), and having the actual coding bits be similar does make life a bit easier.

And I've been writing a lot of C# lately, and it's been creeping into my VB now every now and then and causing syntax errors.

@Gouko

How did the interview go?

I poked my head in on this but decided to not get involved, did bring some popcorn though...

Cool. I like programming. I regret not going into it more.

And the biggest reason I like WPF is the UI designing aspect of it. I had to teach myself the basics by reading it up online and just trying out things.

Hmmm, looks like I'm not winning anymore

Joker - having missed yesterdays debacle - I offer thanks for saying everything I wanted to in the MYG vs LG thread - including all the possible swear words.:)
You sir, are a scholar and a fucking gentleman.

EDIT: I think Lycan used more swear words.
