Or maybe because anniversaries trump v-day so they don't have to do v-day ever again! .... Except, that would be v-day wedding, not v-day engagement... never mind.

The kak thing about v-day is it's terrible to go out anywhere, restaurants are all full, waiters are so busy that service is crap, if you want to go away, you have to book 6 months in advance, and when you get there it's packed.

If we do anything at all, it'll probably be take-out or picnic food at home, and watch a movie. Sounds way better to me.

Every year V-day becomes more of a capitalist holiday, maybe move yours back to the 15th
 
Speaking of Valentinesday, the 14th is my relationship's anniversary. But we had an argument so probably won't be seeing the other half tomorrow.

I must admit, I'm also not a fan of vday or most days that are meant to celebrate life benchmarks and the like, but because of the type of person I am I will use those days and ordinary days as excuses to celebrate outside of what the rest of the world is doing :D

"Celebrate everyday" is a bit silly IMO but celebrating certain things more than the days the world sets aside for conventional "celebration" of those things is much better.

Essentially what I'm saying is, screw what the world is doing and expects you to be doing and rather do what you feel like doing. If that's being all lovey dovey, great, doing nothing? Just as great.
