I'm gonna share some good news with you guys, because I'm about to jump out of my skin of excitement:

I had a 5 hour meeting today with regards to my employer having to present the best innovations of 2013 within the company to the owners of the company. Granted, this does not sound that big of a deal, but I work for a multi-billion rand company with overseas owners and stakeholders. Long story short, my work on resource modelling has been chosen and will be presented next week at a conference in France. Naturally, I'm overjoyed. The only downside is that I will not be going with to France though...Exco members only...

Dude congrats!! And...that sucks? You cant even present your own work?

Thats awesome that you get the recognition but in all fairness you should be the one to present it
