I'm wondering if I should follow Snare's example and do a marathon of all the Superman movies preceding Man of Steel; he did the same with the all Batman movies preceding The Dark Knight trilogy and it was an interesting experience :D

Do it. I have to warn you, one of those movies is terribad. It wasn't even considered to be canon. The movie after it was labelled as a sequel to the movie that preceded said bad movie. Can't recall which one though. It had a Superman clone in it called the Nuclear Man or something along those lines.
