Morning, so after 72 hours in Rice. My Iphone is back to normal working order.

Received and made about 12 phone calls today already.

Thank the Iphone gods....

Yeah, mostly i get calls from juniors asking for assistance, on the plus side though most of what i do is remote or over the phone removing the need to venture out the office. I also do sales and Project spec when needed.

I guess that's the nice thing about being the senior guy, the juniors have to handle most of the real nonsense.

Went on a breakfast run to Franschoek Motor Museum yesterday with the GTI club. Those guys really lack maturity when they drive. 2 guys almost hit a pedestrian while trying to race from an intersection. They stop in the left lane just to take pictures (there was a shoulder that they could have used).

Not fun for my first breakfast run in the new car

Mine is R1200 in total :cry: Got a R700 one on Friday. Just wasn't paying attention and normally I do slack of at that spot because it goes from 100 to 80 to 60 real quick. Got me doing 97 in the 60 zone. I still think the guy was trying to get a bribe out of me, telling me the fine has to be R2500 but he's only going to do it for R700. Ah well, k@k en betaal...
 
Only time a traffic fine is kak is when it's soft target stuff ...... a friend pulled over to help an injured crane on the freeway once (non rush hour and done safely) and his reward was an R800 fine from some metro asshat

If that was a residential area, you would kak in terms of fines and punishment.

I have a court hearing for doing 93 in a 60 on Vanguard Drive. Possible punishment includes R10 000 fine, license suspension of 6 months and/or 10 days jail time :(

I got 85 in a 60 - and the most obvious camera in the whole fcking town :rolleyes:. Oh well...
