Only forum I really post in these days are the Royal marine forums(not the official one that one sucks no one uses it :p)

If you don't find swearing offensive then surely by the same logic of "its not harmful or unhygienic" do you walk around naked in public? That's indecent...to me they're in the same boat. it comes down to culture. So "it just is" and "we've been taught that since we were young" are 100% VALID. We're taught not to steal, or slap other kids when they are being tits.

Nudity? Oh boy, you'd really love Scandinavia.

I guess you'd be the one in the burkini?

Once again, surprise, surprise, nudity isn't seen as offensive here. Yes, that's right folks. In one of the most progressive, liberal, peace-loving and "happy" countries in the world, yet another idiotic social stigma isn't seen as offensive.

The picture above is a prime illustration of the difference in cultures between the Middle East vs the Swedish.

But you just keep insisting that words and nudity are "indecent" and the equivalent of "theft," "assault," harmful or in anyway negative outside the realm of (idiotic) subjective perception.

If you are saying its no different to saying "oh sherbet" or "oh my gosh" why the narrowmindedness to insist on using that word if it has no meaning. Aren't you yourself giving it meaning by insisting on using it as often as you can as opposed to using one of its synonyms? You're basically confinig yourself to a small section of this wonderfully descriptive language.

What is with this ridiculous nonsensical belief that swearing somehow limits your vocabulary? Where's your evidence? My vocabulary is hardly limited and I can pretty much guarantee that my vocabulary is larger than yours.

(sits back and waits for the flames to spread :D)

Enjoy.

Ly a second evening you on a roll.

You basically put in what I have on my mind just can't find the right way to say it without saying I am going to get a big wake up call:rolleyes:

It's my OCD, I'm sure of it :p

I figure a number of people feel the same way. It just sort of grates me when people have simply never questioned "why" they hold the stigmas, beliefs, ideologies, etc that they do and simply accept it all just because that's what they were taught.

As loathe as I am to keep using the Middle East as a prime comparison--imagine just for one moment if the majority of the folks out there would do just that: question why they hold the stigmas, beliefs, ideologies that they do and really consider if the barbarism, bloodshed and lunacy of it all is worth it.

The world would simply be a significantly happier and more tolerant place.

I just think it's time people realise that we have more in common with each other than what we believe makes us "different."

And I know the entire argument is vastly peripheral from simply "swearing" but it's that kind of blind acceptance of a ridiculous social stigma that results in so many problems across the world and in so many different societies.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to carry on singing along to:

Because it's wonderfully fun :D
