Makro normaly sells them with a cleaning kit. Or Game now and again has it as well.
I just use our big ass compressor at home - dad uses it for all kinda things. I just stand a fair distance back tho and keep away from the fans to clean out my pc box. (I know of a few ppl who takes their pc's to the petrol station and they use the hoses there to clean their pc's.
I see a youtube video coming.
Tooken, I got some at Game.
Hehe Practice makes perfect - I tested it on the family's pc first - no issues. And have been doing it for 4 years to my pc and also no issuesOnce every month I just blow the dirt out, then I use an old makeup brush to dust the fans and various sensitive bits

My dad actually modded our old vaccuum cleaner - it's one of those fossilized models - you plug the hose in one side to vaccuum, and plug it in the other side to blow. So he sawed it in half ... now it only blows.
But it actually pumps out a fair bit of air, so I've used that a couple of times. Only thing is ... being an old machine, from back in a time when things were built to last, even sawn in half, weighs 4 or 5 kilos - holding it in one hand for more than a few minutes, especially since it's trying to launch you into orbit, is painful.
Hmm ... just had an idea for a new FPS weapon - Sawn-off Vac set to blow![]()
Is very bad backup your stuff and get rid of the drive.squeaking
Strange noises issue.
I've heard some squeaking coming from my machine and I've determined it's my old 40gb IDE harddrive thats got my OS installed on it. Is this a problem? If so, can it be fixed or should I just get rid of the drive?
Thanks, It's only got to keep working for a week or 2 longer when I format, so I'll get rid of it than.
And it's one of my 1st HDDs and I had no need to remove it or upgrade since it's only for my OS and few other critical programs. It helps reduce cluttered files for me by keeping things like that.
I need help please I had a PC for sometime and in there I had a 320gb Seagate SATA drive when I sold my PC last month I copied all my info onto this drive and removed it from my PC and stored it straight in my cupboard never touching it
I just bought a laptop and my plan was to put this drive into an enclosure so I bought the XGR enclosure
BUT now the HDD wont load / boot or spin......???
I dont understand everything worked then I removed it and stored it now its "dead"
Grimspoon the enclosure is getting power also when I plug the USB into the laptop you can hear the laptop pick up something
Will have to check BIOS (im not a PC person so my knowledge is very little)
Ok some drives you can feel vibration or at least it shows signs of life....
Check all the connections to the drive inside the enclosure as well - sometimes they don't connect properly - also make sure the connectors on the HDD are clean.
Grimmy - are you sure about checking the BIOS? I wasn't aware that USB connected drives would show up there.
