I helped my best mate sort out the armory (reloading room) at his house (new shelves, remounting the reloading press and powder throw) and loaded 50 rounds of test ammo for my 30-06. Took a good few hours.

Haaaai Wyv! :D

How's the holiday going?
Orbie the holiday is nice, relaxing, except this morning's early wakeup that drove me nuts :P I still havent had coffee . . . Waiting for the machine to warmup so I can get proper coffee.

Early wake-ups in the holiday? WHAT IS THIS DEVILRY?!

Also, I just ordered 31 bottles of wine. I may have wine for a while.

Damn you, I'm still sleepy eyed from Soulsing.

Thank you.

Someone I know needs to connect their Xbox One to an external speaker set. What would be the best option?

What inputs does the external speaker take? If it has HDMI passthrough, then you should be sorted, otherwise, if the sound system takes optical input for surround sound, you just need an optical audio cable. Or if all else fails, for stereo you can always use the Audio out from the TV. Should be RCA connectors, and if you need to go to a headphone type jack for the speakers, you should be able to get a cable like this

I've been told they have an SP/DIF cable (connector) and want to connect it to speakers somehow; an inclusion of an HDMI cable is also there, so connecting it to an external speaker source is probably something their looking for.

Thanks for the information though, appreciate it.

I use my HDMI > TV then from TV out > RCA > Home Theater System.

Alternatively, you can use optical for superior quality.

The HDMI would go to the TV and does picture and sound, the S/PDIF cable is for surround sound output only, no picture.

The main question is what sort of input does their speaker set take?
- If it takes optical cables, plug the S/PDIF cable from the XBone to the speakers, and the HDMI cable from the XBone to the TV.
- If it does HDMI passthrough, plug the HDMI cable from the XBone to the speakers, and then from the speakers, another HDMI cable to the TV.
- If it just does the little stereo jack or RCA jacks, you'll probably need to use the Audio out from the TV

You can get an idea from here for a couple of options (ignore the set-top box stuff)

Thank you.

The parents do not want (the kid, I assume) to play using the TV, so i don't know what means they wish to use for the screen or the sound. I'm only getting tidbits of information, so I have to go on that in the meantime.

EDIT: There is very little information on the current setup.

So they maybe want to be able to turn off the TV and still hear the sound? Like to use it to play music maybe.... You're gonna have to go check out the setup and see what's what.

So, uh yeah... Hopefully by Friday, I'll be using this.

Skeptical and nervous, but excited. New KB, finally.

I pray it's better than my current, even just for consistency.

I think the user is going to be connecting the console to different devices, one for audio and one for visuals - I'm not quite sure.

EDIT: See, I'm going on VERY little.

My dad them are coming down to CT tomorrow, maybe they'll find something; it's for a friend of his up north.
