how is a speaker "Gaming ready"?

sounds like marketing bullshit to me

Exec: "That's one ugly speaker set."
Techie: "It sounds pretty good, though."
Exec: "Nobody will buy something that ugly. Except..."
Techie: "Yeah?"
Exec: "Gameplayers!"
Techie: "You mean 'Gamers'."
Exec: "That's what I said. Market it to kids that play games."
Techie: "Uhmm. Not just kids..."
Exec: "Slap a blue LED on that unit, add 'gaming' to the name and make sure it's gaming ready."
Techie: "All speakers are 'gaming ready' by default."
Exec: "That's the spirit. Tell production we want 30,000 units by Monday."

Browsing through the takealot electronics flash sale just now, I have come to the conclusion that when a manufacturer slaps the word "gaming" into a product name, it is code for "fugly".

The "Independent Play" sounds really suspect to me considering that the speakers don't have a SD card slot or USB port and no buttons or dials to start, stop or skip tracks.
