My GPU runs an average of 5-15°c cooler than my CPU. Maybe it's coz the GPU is running 2 fans and the CPU's fan is a stock Intel?

At idle or while under load? At idle both of mine sit around 30 degC (if I recall correctly), and under load I haven't really checked, but the GPU will probably run hotter.

What CPU and GPU do you have?

Also, morning all. Meh weekend was meh.

GPU: Gigabyte Windforce GeForce GTX 750Ti (OC)
CPU: Intel Core i3-3240 @ 3.40GHz

Edit: I will update with temp readings when I game.

Fallout 4 (Temps):

GPU and CPU averaging 55-60°C.

I should also note that I am have changed my front 140mm fans (of the case) in such a way that, the top-mounted fan blows air out, while the bottom-mounted fan sucks air in. My MOBO does not have enough power connectors to power more fans at the moment, otherwise I would mount 1 fan (140mm) at the back of the case so it blows out and the front fans suck in.

Its seriously pissing me off.

Free higher education is a pipe dream and not sustainable. I fully support cheaper primary and high school education (hell free if possible) but free tertiary education will dilute the market. Not everyone can afford university, and that's not a bad thing. It's not "colonialist" or "racist" it's just what it is. Look at the situation in Australia, they have a huge shortage of tradesmen simply because the average Aussie does not want to become a "tradie" so they have plenty of Varsity educated people because it's affordable (subsided up to 60% by the state and bridged with bursaries). I personally know a couple of plumbers, mechanics and locksmiths that went to Aus (critical skills visa nogal) and they're making a killing because the younger generation of Aussies are just not interested in vocational training.

The focus in SA should be Primary and Secondary education for as many students as possible. Focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) tracks. Resurrect the apprenticeship system and get vocational colleges set up. Make these cheap and sustainable. Focus on rewarding excellence.

The other issues that are being created now is that the burning of higher education facilities will incur additional costs to the institutions and somehow these need to get funded. It's detrimental to the students that want to study and want to attain a degree. Hell UCT is a bloody mess at the moment and classes are suspended until further notice. Its almost end of year exam time. People need to study and stop feeling so bloody entitled.

What is pissing me off is, it is going to make the years I have studied now via unisa pointless, my diploma is going to mean fuckall soon and what did I get, I have wasted my money and time. If they start making all uni's free, they might as well give away diplomas every year, cos it will mean that kids feel entitled to the piece of paper whether they deserve it or not.

If they want to interview, they already want the you that you presented in your CV and application. Be yourself, and know that you can do this.

Good Luck!!! you will do great!

Good luck!

Dude we all know you will kick ass!

Good luck, looking forward to having you in CPT

Well I think it went well. I was mostly on point with any questions she threw at me, so here's hoping I get the second interview.

Morning everyone!
Jan, it looks like Staff Writer made a mistake in the MyBroadband article. Abzo saw that the times booked were most likely different. It's an interesting one.

It could very well become devalued over time. Hopefully people take into account the year it was earned. But lets not be negative right away.

What I see happening is government messing up the Universities. What will then happen is that private universities will pop up, there are already plans to change regulations so that private institutions can call themselves "Universities". So listed companies like Curro and AdvTech will most likely fill the void. People will stop going to our established Universities and Start paying more to attend these private institutions because no one will trust the value of a degree from UCT for example. Then we can be like America with super huge student debt just to get an education.

Honestly, at this rate they'll burn all the varsities and then moan about the lack of higher education facilities. It's the South African way.
