Ive started hanging out on SAgamer - sad to admit - but I know one of their staff writers. So figured I would see. Its busy, and Im still quiet on there.

See [MENTION=16362]Flex[/MENTION] - that is waaaaaaaay above my level. I need one day find someone who can work with me and help me. I just wont set foot in a gym - I cant afford them nor a personal trainer at this point.

I also started somewhere!
99% of the people at my gym feel exactly the same way, and are in the same position!

Will perhaps try and post a few "beginner home" exercises as well

Please do - we need more of that as well. I at least take the fluffybut out for a walk most days - 2 or 3 blocks - depending on the weather and how much of an ass he is being aka pulling my arms out my sockets. On the days the weathe doesnt play along I have the stationary bike. But my problem is more lack of motivation since i dont get positive reinforcement at home - its fine for doing it for yourself and all, but when all you hear is how fat you are, even tho you are trying, all you get is negatives. Makes it harder to stay focused

Do it for yourself. To make yourself feel good. For no one else!!!

easier said then done, i tend to feel good for a bit, then a parental unit will literally break me down - they think by telling me how big i am, or watch what I eat - which pisses me off since for the most part I eat healtier than both of them.
 
For the fitness people here. Or people interested ones that want to get into fitness, started my youtube channel recently. Nothing fancy at all. Simple videos, with some tips in the description.

I would subscribe, but I don't use a youtube account. I'll try and remember to put your channel in my RSS feed though!

It took me a minute to realize FFS isn't the usual internet famous acronym...

Not saying i can compare it. But i felt the sexact dame way before i started. I was on the other side of the spectrum. People calling me names due to how skinny i was... in a afrikaans rugby school

lol okay? I am jus saying I know how it feels to be called names and teased because of how your body look. Whether you are larger or smaller than the "norm". Either way it is never nice. So not sure what the snark comment was made for.
 
Interestingly I've lost 10kg so far this year. I think its about time I started exercising again. But I don't really like the idea of gym.

Ironically I can handle it when others tell me that kind of thing, but you expect family to try and encourage you. Not break you down even more

Ai jah, that is true. I know it is difficult, but ignore them. Do it for yourself, and when you look back after 5 years, you can tell them to shove it when they say they are proud of you.

I just jsut weighed 50kg in matric. From my shoulder to my wrist everything was the same thickness, and almost the same with my legs.

Ive managed to loose about 30kgs in 2 years, but now I have been stuck at the same weight and stuggle.

Change something up! Either your eating habbits, different exercise routine or type.
30kgs in 2 years is good. Especially if you have kept it off!

Consistency! Been eating oats and peanut Butter for breakfast ever morning for the past 5+- years.
At least 5 meals every day (even though I struggle on weekends), of moderately clean meals.
Training consistently and smart with 0 serious injuries.

Takes Long though

see the injuries is my difficult part these days - I have a VERY bad lower back - so sit ups and pushups actually aggrevates the injury. Then there is the ankle - broke it and then sprained it a lot - its finally getting stronger but still hurts like hell some days.

I know what to do diet wise - and I know one of my biggest issues - I used to binge eat A LOT - it was and still is a coping mechanism. But I have gotten that mostly under control. now its rare for me to do it - but yea I still get bad days. But even on the bad days, i dont go overboard as I used to. But this is why I need real help - I can only do this much on my own. At least i can own up to my messes - but I also use my size as a physical bubble to keep people away - and I know it. Makes me not want to loose the weight in a totally messed up way
