Some more feedback.
After playing around 26 matches, I feel I am now better qualified to give some more feedback.
The game play is a lot like cod, just by playing it I can tell the guys from COD 4 were behind this game, everything from running to aiming and weapon mechanics are straight from COD which isn't a bad thing. I find playing the smaller maps is a lot better than jumping into a larger map with latency of over 200, I also noticed that the busier the server got the higher my latency was, at a stage last night I was playing with 280ms...and I am sorry but if a company expects me to spend R400 on a mp only game and they can't provide me with local servers it just shows that they don't give a shit about us. If your at all serious about fps games you won't buy this.
There is no denying in short bursts it can be fun, but over all it sux when you have a huge disadvantage over the other players, I was the only guy in game with a latency of over 200 while everyone else was in the low 30-40's.
So would I buy it, No I would rather spend my cash on something I can play where the playing field is level or perhaps something with a damn good single player campaign, Thief comes to mind.
I agree with all your points. Played a few games with Cronus last night and we could both tell at what disadvantage we were with the ping. I lost several 1v1 fights where to me it looked like I reacted first but in the opponents kill cam I did nothing.
Yes the game is hella fun, but I can't see any serious longevity here. While I really liked it I don't feel like I need to play the full game, especially with the current latency.
