Very good sir. Can confirm on basis of ownership. As per usual, you don't have a fking clue what you are talking about dude. I don't see how these here people think you are the Hardware guru, because put simply, you're not.
THE 5 best cards on the market.
1. S3 Trio 3d/2X (AGP)
2. Arktek 512 EISA
3. ATi Rage Pro 8MB
4. Creative Voodoo II 8MB
5. Matrox Millennium G200 8MB
You have been schooled.
Apart from the first 2 cards, I am able to run Need for speed 2 SE on full detail, while using a full 16Bit wallpaper for my desktop. Beat that.
hmmm...nothing but Nvida. no stats or benchmarks for each card? very poor article which sounds more like a sales pitch.
Well 1st things 1st, I am really disappointed in the incredibly small amount of effort that was put into this, can't exactly call it a article or news...or anything for that matter. Its also incredibly biased just putting Nvidia cards on the list.
Omg! I lol'd thought you were serious for a moment
So why no price-performance ratio? To be honest that is probably the more important statistic I would be looking for.
Hi guys, please note that this list is based on the editor's picks from very respectable hardware review site Tech Powerup.
We set out to find the top recommended cards, and that's what came of it. The fact that it is all Nvidia has nothing to do with a choice made by MyGaming other than to use Tech Powerup as a base.
As for benchmarks, etc - Tech Powerup conducts in-depth reviews of the GPUs - far beyond anything we can do here at MyGaming. Hence why we cited the source, which seems to have been missed by a number of commenters on the article.
In light of the Nvidia-only list that was generated, we have a plan to do a top recommended AMD GPUs as well.
I'm interested to know on what basis you say TechPowerup is biased as I refer to them often as I find their reviews thorough and informative. Perhaps there is something I'm unaware of behind their reporting.
On another note, we don't just rattle off one article without considering a broader reach. To this end we have already considered doing similar articles that cater to different price segments.
Cool. We are going to cast our net wider in future to draw a better overall summary of the best kit out there.
For the recommended AMD GPU's we will stick to TechPowerup because we've created that base for the preceding article.
That's perfectly fine.
I would really like to help though. So if you guys need help or info or need some research done please don't hesitate to ask.
On a side note, I've never heard of TechPowerUp.
