Torchlight II Thread

Just played for 18mins. Chose the Berserker since thats how I would end up playing anyway.

The inventory screen and the equipment are a similar darkness, I wasn't sure what I had equipped or not.

It hasn't bothered me so far, just be careful so you don't accidentally sell something nice until you get use to it :D

I also found it hard to keep track of what I'd just picked up - particularly when you tank through a section and amass a huge collection of stuff. A minor issue though.

Just a tip: If you hold shift when you click on an item your pet will pick it up for you. If you don't hold shift you will pick it up yourself.

If you shift left click on an item in your inventory, it will move it to the pets inventory and vice versa. If you right click on something in your inventory it will equip it if possible.

Yeah I know that one, I was referring more to the fact that my inventory is empty, and then after a skirmish, I look at my inventory and I'm like 'Holy crap look at all that stuff'.

Hah, that's a good thing surely? :D It's probably more a problem for melee classes.

I'm not complaining :P I'm in it for the loot after all!
It could get a bit overwhelming in the end, unless you equip whatever ever you picked up asap, you're going to be comparing item stats for ages.

Sometimes I end up with the same item equipped even though I have better items. I just forget to check :o Then I change things around and think I'm so powerful suddenly. :D

Yeah did that too :p

"Ah awesome new pants!" I would say, only to realize that I've been wearing the same ones for the past hour.

Oh well :D

I spent about 5 hours in TL2 and while I am enjoying it much more than no 1 the ass backwards co-op matchmaking was pissing me off as it took me and murph ages to get in the same game. Obviously, and unfairly, there is constant comparison to D3 in my mind. So far it has surpassed my expectations and I would definitely say it was £15 well spent.

Host a game friend joins on you whats so hard?

Tried the demo just now. Not only does it run great, but it actually runs even better than TL1 on my netbook. Instantly bought it after that. I love Runic. New favorite developer for me. :3

No drop in, drop out capability. Import steam friends feature didn't work for me, manual friend adding was hit and miss. I created a game and murph was unable to find it even though he filtered by friend only.

Yeah, Omega and I both created games, even after filtering to friends only I couldn't find his game. Also, after logging in again, he was off my friends list altogether. Import friends didn't work on my side either. Will check it out again tonight, maybe we missed something.

At least we could carry on playing single player.
