Not sure if mentioned but you should consider a low carb diet![]()
On itMy body and carbs just don't work. Bloated 99% of the day on the stuff.
At the risk of sounding like a moron in a thread where "everyone's an expert" - but if you're planning on doing aerobic exercises like running - then you need carbs. There are good carbs and there are bad carbs. But for what you're trying to do, which is "get into running" - going very low on carbs could make your goal a little harder to achieve.
i've heard lots of people who say they lost weight by NOT eating carbs at night. any truth to this trick ?
Running might not be the best exercise if you got a heavy frame to start with. I would start with a stationary bike and swimming but the most important thing for weight loss is diet. Lifting weights is also a good way to burn calories through out the day and not just during your exercise like running or anything aerobic.

I don't eat carbs after 5pm. It works.
I never said he must not do cardio I said running might not be the best thing for a person that's carrying a lot of weight. Walking is a good fat burner but takes a lot of time so depending on the amount of time you have it might not be an option.I disagree a little bit. I follow Scoobysnetwork on Youtube (awesome channel and site btw). And the one thing that cannot be stressed enough is that you HAVE to do cardio every single day. And the best form of cardio starts with......walking.
People underestimate how effective walking is at losing weight.

All you are doing is reducing your overall carb intake. There have been numerous studies showing that meal timing has no effect on weight loss at all. Hence intermittent fasting came about...and works.
'IF' means you can eat whenever you want...9pm, 10pm, 12pm. Meaning, it doesn't matter that you eat before bed. That's the only reason why people slack off the carbs at night.
I was under the assumption that you meant carbs before bed is a no no. Not the time period through the day. Misunderstood you.
