Question: How will the new patch influence epic flying training?

And another: Where is the best place for dailies on a lvl 80?

One more: When can we expect the new patch?

Sons of Hodir is pretty important - shoulder enchants.

If you haven't unlocked the dailies in Storm Peaks, you'll need to do the chain first (you are hostile towards them in the beginning)

I would also like to know when the patch will go live?

What do you mean, exactly? With regards to price? If so, faction discounts will now apply, meaning getting on that epic flying mount won't be as expensive as it currently is.

Faction discounts? Ok, I'm still semi-newb...

Lvl 80 Draenei DK... what do I need to get and how and where?

Sons Of Hodir? That giant bastards that won't talk to you unless you do "Jormuggar is Soo fat" ?

If you look at the Reputation panel in your character window (C), you'll notice you have different levels of reputation with various factions...including "Hated," "Honored" and eventually "Exalted." Reputation level gains will result in purchases from merchants of said faction costing you less.

Therefore, your current standing with the faction selling epic flying mounts will result in a discount for you come the new patch.

Hopefully that makes sense...

I already have the mount, I just need the training. Will that also be discounted?

Looks like it. This is from wowwiki

# Expert Riding (Skill 225): Can now be learned at level 60 for 600g from trainers in Honor Hold or Thrallmar. Faction discounts now apply (Honor Hold for Alliance; Thrallmar for Horde). Flight speed at this skill level has been increased to 150% of run speed, up from 60%.
# Artisan Riding (Skill 300): Faction discounts now apply (Honor Hold or Valiance Expedition for Alliance; Thrallmar or Warsong Offensive for Horde).

It's still going to be 4000G if you're exalted. At least it's Valiance Expedition and not Alliance Vanguard. VE is one of the subgroups of AV and easier to get to exalted.

For those of you confused by my hateful thread bump. We had a goldseller bump this thread, so I politely told her to go away. :)

My main concern is my 3G.. I can play Guild Wars without a problem, but I assume latencies on WOW are worse because its not instanced.

How big is the initial patch update?

What is an avg to be expected data usage per hour?

Is there a class that does not depend on low latencies?

I've actually found that at this moment my WoW latencies are better than my GW latencies.

Also, I thought this thread was gone :P

World of Warcraft latencies tend to be worse, but less important unless you're playing something like a Rogue. Guild Wars combat is far more fast-paced, resulting in latency being an issue - especially when playing an interrupter.

I find an 800-900ms ping perfectly playable in WoW. You learn to live with the slight delay and as a result react in advance to make up for the lost ms.

The only comment on can give on the 3G issue is that a mate of mine plays WoW on 3G and is always raiding. He hasn't moaned (any more than we normally do) about his connection.

I must agree, WoW used to be a schlep for me, since I played it for over a year on wireless. The first time I had a disconnect in the last year was the other night in 25 Onyxia - but I had my spell display and shadings etc. all on full, so I blame myself. (384kb ADSL line). Whereas Guild Wars tends to lag every now and then - even if I play with NPC's only.
