What are you reading right now?

I felt my interest in the books steadily decreased with each one. The last was definitely the weakest.

I feel like it peaked with the second one. I read that in 2 days. But I think I might just wait for the movies on the last one. I can barely get through a few pages a day.

The last book I read was Ender's Game in the hopes of reading it before I watched the movie. Except I guess the movie didn't do well because it went off circuit long before I even had a chance to see it. :(

As for my next book I'm probably going to start reading The Tournament by Matthew Reilly.

Anyone read The Wolf Of Wall Street?

I wasn't aware that the movie is based on a book.
Checking IMDB, I see it is actually an autobiography. I've been looking forward to the movie, but now I think I should get my hands on the book first.

Yeah when I researched the movie I saw about the book. I love reading books first. Recently did it with Life of Pi.

Only problem is the movies are never as good, but I don't mind.

I agree wholeheartedly with reading the book first. Life of Pi was a brilliant movie but the book is still a few notches higher. Off the top of my head I can actually recall one movie that was better than the book: Forrest Gump.

Normally I would agree, books are always better than the movie however it also depends on the book. For instance I love the Harry Potter books and watching the movies were great, but a lot was left out of the movies. Lord of the Rings on other hand I felt did better as a movie than as a book, I apologise to any Tolkien fans here but I really don't need my imagination spood fed with elaborate descriptions that lasts for several pages! :/

Something I am keen to start reading because of its adapation to the big, uh... little screen is A Song of Ice and Fire.

I must admit I didn't read any of the Lord of The Rings books. I read the Hobbit when I was younger and that was awesome, but when I tried LOTR I found it incredibly boring... Now that I've seen the movies I don't really want to read the books as I know the story already.

Look, I really enjoyed the LOTR books, although there was way too much describing scenery and various histories etc that made it quite hard going at times. The movies were a pretty good adaptation, although as always happens, they left out quite a bit and changed stuff around probably to give bigger actors more lines or something.

The Game of Thrones series has also been well done, again, they do change things around and leave bits out, but that's the nature of screen adaptations. I tried to keep a few books ahead of the series so as not to spoil the books by seeing what happens on the series before I read it.

There is a lot of detail to the story in the books that you don't get from watching the series though, so it's most definitely worth a read.

Lucky you! That "crap" is ridiculous my cousin got a letter from them with a bill of over R300 for December, mine should be coming soon too #anxious

I'm avoiding the highways. Don't even want to make it onto their system at all if I can help it
