What do you do for a living?

I am a Freelance Graphic Designer And I wash cars
Car wash business: R25-R30 a car
Qualifications: Matric (I hope!)

I mean no offense by this but, to all the "engineers" out there, did you guys study at varsity or are you claiming the title? This may be why ECSA isn't granting you professional recognition and the ability to sign-off designs.

For example: plumber = sanitation engineer.

Btw; I got my honours in Electrical Engineering from the University of Johannesburg last year and work for...wait for it...Eskom. Before you ask, no I can't get you free electricity and/or fix your kettle; loadshedding was before my time and the increases in electricity prices do not equate into a bigger salary for me (although I wish it did).

Let the hate begin.

Now now - no need to get funny about it. I already posed the ECSA question and non engineering engineer title.

I just wrote a long snotty thing about ECSA and whatnot and how they still only consider me a candidate engineer, but nobody actually cares. The lads here didn't choose what their titles are. Ok they did when they picked their courses, but they didn't name them. :D

Constant meetings are balls. :(

That made me smile.

Glad I could - even though it's supposed to offend you. :D

Weeeellllll, it made me smile because when most women are ovulating, they're far more inclined to kissy kissy than snappy snappy. Ovulation and premenstrual tension = two very different things. You'd do well to learn them, young padawan. ;P

die in a fire :mad::p

Dude good luck with that. I'm sure you'll crack the exam ;).

I thought that after varsity I'd never have to study again...turns out you never stop studying . Gotta keep ahead in the ratrace...

Well the CCNA is i think 85% pass rate I managed to clock a 94% in the test exams which i have been doing over and over again...

You think N+ is easy?
I take my hat off to you, Sir.
Too much technical information to remember.
I'll keep to Microsoft Excel, thanks.
Someone in Technical Support lent me a Sybex N+ Exam Guide.
I'll be returning it tomorrow.

Hey if you want I could email you the N+ stuff that i got from Comptia...

Ok, so i guess im one of the single few here who does nothing PC related workwise..... except for using it for e-mail and documents.

Nope...I don't do any PC-related work either. My work may be done on a computer; but its not based on it.

I have the glamourous job of keeping the lights on and driving the economy :p ...I guess that would sound better if the guy who does the movie trailers said it.

Call it what you will...Eksdom, Eishkom...whatever. In all honesty; its a good company to work for. From a technical perspective you can't get better. Management though, is another story...

Well that's enough Eskom ball-shining from me.

Yeah - That's the one I was looking for.

I forgot Ovulating = being broody. The only time I use that word is when I describe how the way to get rid of an annoying girl is to pretend to ask her hand in marriage, going down on one knee, grabbing her by the hips and head-butting her in the ovaries. :D

...but yeah, much to learn. Then again ... since I have neither ovaries nor a lady, it doesn't bother me much - does it?
