Hi every one: I have decided to start this thread to receive different points of views,my question to you all is this. What internet browser do you prefer and why? What email account do you prefer and why?
It is an interesting topic for me I always like to see different people 's opinions and suggestions. It is a constant thing where I work an argument over who is better and with what and its better because of this and that reason. I want to end the fight by hearing every-ones point of view.

The other classic fight we have is what anti virus is better and why?

Any thoughts to share on this topic of the day.

Chrome: Coz its AWESOME

Email: A combination of Hotmail (for commercial non personal stuff) and apples .me (for personal stuff) and Gmail for well... im not sure. I have about 10 differnt email accounts spread over the 3 suppliers.

I use Chrome - it's simple and fast and once you get used to using the address bar (omnibox) for searching as well as typing in addresses there's no turning back. I also like the sync feature (not that that's limited to Chrome) but it's connected to my GMail account which is handy.

With regard to email - GMail works perfectly for me. The fact that I can access my email from any pc or phone is the main reason I use it but I also like the ability to link my other, old email account to my GMail account.

Oh yes... and I'm fan of Google

I use Chrome because its fast and not bloated.

Email I use gmail and my work mail - but that only for work.

I love the Sync function its utter genius.

Firefox...
(You can search in the address bar too, also has password and bookmarks, history synchronisation)

Found that Chrome may sometimes give "page not found" errors, and then refreshing makes it load again. Has something to do with Google's name servers which is automatically used. Unlike other browsers which use the PC's configured DNS server.

Gmail all the way for personal mail, work stuff I use Thunderbird for mail, and Outlook for Calendar.

Browser
At home I use: Firefox.
Reason: There was a time when Chrome just wouldn't work correctly at home and I replaced it with Firefox. Never really saw the need to go back to Chrome. Especially since I'm using some great extensions for Firefox.
At work: Chrome
Reason: Still the fastest browser out there.

E-mail
Personal: Gmail. Haven't found anything that compares with it. Fast, can be accessed from anywhere, lots of space etc.
Work: Outlook. Came with the job.

Firefox because it's feature rich, has add-ons that actually work properly and is generally far more compatible with sites than most browsers. Chrome unfortunately has wonky add-ons and seems to have difficulty with word-wrapping in text boxes. Fix those and I may migrate.

For e-mail, Thunderbird all the way.

And anti-virus? MSE.

For home and work I use the same things.
I love Google so I use Chrome and Gmail, haven't had any problems with them.
For Anti Virus I use Avast Free Edition.

Google Chrome - simplicity is the ultimate sophistication synced with mah Gmail account and too easily use mah proxies.

Every one seems to have there own internet browser that they prefer. One thing that everyone does know and can agree upon is that internet explorer is complete rubbish. Personally I am using Google Chrome as I like it a lot. Email I am using Gmail. It rules the planet and is over taking Yahoo by far. Anti virus I am using Avast. Avast is easy to use and picks up everything It blocks everything .It is a strong anti virus.
Thank - you for taking such an interest in my thread please keep on posting.

Yahoo... Whats that? Can I eat it?

I use many browsers but my preference is firefox for addons and general configuration. I also use IE for testing compatability of sites I create and am so excited for the dumping of IE6...

I also use opera, firefox and the default browser on my phone.

Email, outlook is miles ahead of others.

Antivirus; fsecure, gdata or eset nod32. Avira is the best free, although the ads are starting to get more annoying.

Firewall, comodo all the way... I even trust it enough to use a pppoe connection on my computer :0

FF
Can handle a bazillion open windows (unlike Chrome)
Nice feel
Extensions
Split addr and search bar is nice. Awesome bar is better than Chrome.

Chrome
Super fast start-up
None of that hassle with flash updates
Less flakey than FF lately.

Gmail wins by a mile.

Chrome whenever possible. Fastest by far although IE9 has improved a lot since their previous versions. I use IE9 sometimes as alternative browser or for "sites" / apps that specifically require IE.
Don't like Firefox much, but I use it for certain plugins like downloading youtube videos or music. Most of the other plugins I used FF for is now available in Chrome.

Email, I prefer to use a proper mailbox with a domain name. If I had to go for free email, it would be Gmail. Mail client is Outlook 2010.

For Anti Virus I'm using Avira Premium. I initially switched to Avira after MSE failed me and AVG started messing up my pc and was so impressed with Avira that when I decided to upgrade to a paid AV, I chose to stick with them as they offer good value at a good price. Haven't had a day of trouble or any missed viruses. Also, if I do get a virus via email that is quite new (those with the exe file in the zip attachment), I just forward it to them and the next day the virus definitions are updated to pick up the new virus.
