what internet browser do you prefer and why? What email account do you refer and why

Google Chrome. Easier because my gmail is my main account and everything is just better. Easier and better to customize than IE. Firefox just doesn't appeal to me but is also great. Interesting to see that IE hardly features.

Personal use, Chrome, cause I like using one client (from PC, Tablet and Cellphone) without any hassle. and I find it one of the faster ones out there.
Work use, IE 8/9 (due to development for it mainly)

then I have Gmail, but also a MWeb and Webmail Address that gets downloaded to my GMail account automatically.

Anti Virus I prefer Kaspersky but I my license ran out, so nothing at the moment ... /runs and hides

Not sure why you would be. People use antivirus software that works.

+1 to that. I made the mistake once, back when I was a young'un, and actually bought Mcafee and installed in within 2 days and replaced it with AVG. Currently running AVG Pro 2012.

Internet : IE9 at work, 'cause everything just works no hassles or hangups. Intranet pages are all sharepoint, which just never seems to work 100% if not on IE. Firefox for general browsing at home, purely because of the high level of customisation it provides. I also have Chrome, Safari and Opera installed just for good measure. Rarely use them, but have come in handy if another browser fails for any reason.

Email : Outlook 2010 at work, also get my mails on BB via BES. At home Thunderbird, because it works without giving any hassles.

Anti Virus : BitDefender 2010. Relatively low overhead to run, regular updates, easy to use and it has Game Mode.

Chrome, used to use firefox untill it became slow and i use gmail coz its awesome

Wow guys such a great response.Never new this topic would create such a great thread. Thank-you all so much.
Please keep posting I enjoy reading all your comments and threads.

Browser: Mozilla Firefox
Email: Gmail, Aim & Yahoo (Find Gmail the best)
Antivirus: Comodo Internet Security

Browser: I use Firefox as my primary browser for one simple reason - NoScript, I simply cannot live without it and I know there is a Chrome version but in my opinion it doesn't work as well. I feel very vulnerable when browsing without it. I do use Chrome too, exclusively for video streaming though. It just seems to work better in Chrome.

Mail: At work I use Outlook as its company policy. At home I make use of GMail as well as pretty much every other google product under the sun which for some very strange reason don't always work properly in Chrome.

Anti-Virus: AVAST, have tried pretty much all AV's around and as far as free stuff (and most pay products) go, AVAST is simply the easiest and best.

Browser: IE8
It doesn't chew away tons of system resourses like lagfox or Opera and I can actually change any setting I like unlike Chrome.

Mail: AIM
Mainly because it's my new favorite IM and the email site is easy and smooth to use.

Anti-Virus: Kaspersky Internet Security.
1: It's one of cheaper options out there.
2: It provides proper, full spectrum protection unlike most of the other paid for or free services like Bit Defender, Norton, avast or whatever elce there is.
3: It runs very descretly in the background untill it actually detects a threat and it asks you what to do instead of just outright blocking CoD4 each time you wanna play online.

I use :

Chrome - I used to FF, but after it came out and I switched to it, I never went back. I just like the simplicity and the sleek feel it has to it.

Gmail/Webmail - My primary email was a Webmail account I created probably 10 years ago, since then, tried shifting all my mails to Gmail. Has better spam functions and the new look I really like.

Kaspersky IS 2012 - I work in the IT industry. As a free AV - Avast was the best. But since I'm always online, I just felt uneasy with just a plain AV. So I bought Kaspersky. It's lightweight and pretty much blocks everything. It has noob features for the noobs, and advanced features for the pro's that I like. It's also the cheapest IS package. I did have a look at Bitdefender (which is one of the products we sell). It's OK. The only thing I've noticed is that it's quite bloated. I've seen Bitdefender totally slow down a clients PC it was scary. And it happened a few times. Unless you have a uber PC like me, I wouldn't recommend Bitdefender to anyone because of this.

To those who so confidently say Chrome is fastest:

http://m.lifehacker.com/5844150/browser-speed-tests-firefox-7-chrome-14-internet-explorer-9-and-more

summary results, 1. Opera 2. Firefox 3. IE 4. Chrome.

Only thing chrome is good at is java performance. I just dont use opera as I prefer firefox extensions and its look.

Chrome used to be the fastest... I guess the others just catched up and I haven't noticed. I think I've gotten used to the Chrome interface and it is now inconvenient to switch to something else.

With regards to Opera, I tried Opera (and Safari) out a while ago and I actually liked Opera BUT I found many instances where Opera didn't render the pages correctly and thus removed it again. This was about a year or 2 ago though so they could have improved since then.
