What movie did you last watch thread.

Pain&Gain. Awesome movie IMO, especially if you are part of the bodybuilding crowd, and it's very funny. "It all leaves you pondering whether you have just seen a monumentally stupid movie or a brilliant movie about the nature and consequences of stupidity." - this pretty much sums it up. You whether like it or you don't - I for one have been waiting for this since last year and loved it!

8/10.

One of my favourites just because of the comical side of it.

If that is the worst movie you've ever seen then you don't watch a lot of movies. GI Joe Retaliation and Scary Movie 5 comes to mind.

Oi I watch a lot of movies. Believe it or not, the new GI Joe wasn't that bad ( not saying it's good either ) . What really put me off are the non-stop cliches in just about everything. But Dwayne Johnson delivered as always, I'll watch anything with him in it.

That GI Joe was such a generic action film that for the first time in a long while I felt like just walking out. There was nothing special about it for me - most average movie ever!

Battleship, definitely not any award material, was entertaining for some bizarre reason. It is silly (who handbrake turns a battleship on the high sees anyway) and Rhiana was semi-annoying...still AWESOME :D

Watched "Salmon fishing in the Yemen" and it was watchable enough for a Sunday afternoon. I'm not a big fan of rom-coms, but the ROM part was almost believable and the com part was actually funny on occasion. A solid 6.5/10!

Also watched "Premium Rush" on Sunday (mnet) but expected more. Good bike scenes, but I've seen better on YouTube. 6/10.

Worst movie ever. How anyone can enjoy it is beyond me.

Battleship might not be the worst movie ever, but it sure as hell is one of the worst movies I've had the displeasure of watching.

I watched Now You See Me last night. While not quite as good as I expected it to be it was still a great movie with solid performances all around. Also, Isla Fisher is HOT. :p

Talking of which...

"Wrong side of town" starring Rob Van Dam. Acting was really poor. Action scenes so-so. Plot really weak. I feel dreadful for watching it. Easily 1/5.

Now You See Me - quite an enjoyable watch - 9/10
Star Trek 2 - I love mah sci-fi - 9/10
The Heat - good couple of lols ..... and Sandra Bullock  - 7/10

hey all. saw Elysium today... I have mixed feelings... It's no District 9, but it wasn't bad... I just won't want to see it again...

Shalto is a cliche of what most South Africans are portrayed in movies as... IE psycho cold blooded mercenary killer with a kuk Afrikaans English accent... sigh... (I'm thinking Lethal Weapon something here)... I wasn't enchanted as I was with District 9 at the way South Africans were portrayed. He could rather have been anything else than South African and it wouldn't have bothered me as much, but maybe I'm over-sensitive?

Matt Damon is one dimensional? I could not like any of the characters in this movie. Jodie Forster didn't even get her just deserts, though she got poetic justiced... I would've wanted her to be forced to live on earth for her punishment.

And the story... too much going on and nothing developing to a satisfactory end... What did the rest of you guys think?

Other than that, the special effects were goooood. so good you don't notice the CGI at all. It seems real and plausible. waiting for Chappie with mixed emotions... I would love to see a local flavored movie again with humor, not with cringing... and robots!

Then totally unrelated, the movie I saw before this was Afro Samurai! woot! with Samual F*cn Jackson ya'll! and Lucy Lui. That was totally bad ass and senseless haha, but that's anime for you... roll with it and don't try to get it, just look at the pretty pictures and ignore the uber-violence!.

Im going to have to disagree with you on pretty much all you said , its by far the most unique movie in a long time matts and copelys performance was strong . very enjoyable movie all round for me

Seen a couple of movies recently.

"Planes" was okay. Kids loved it. Daughter 10 and son 4 were chuffed we saw it. Definitely appeals to the youngsters. Lots of laughs and humour was especially enjoyed by my daughter. For me it was better than expected. Most of all it was a great time out with the family.

"The Hunger Games" was a decent enough Sci-fi. Slow in starting but pretty good from +/- one third in. So it gets a 6/10. Acting is okay. Plot unusual. Action scenes were okay. It was just good enough to deserve the watch and enjoy.

V/H/S 2 6/10

I loved the first one but this one wasn't so great. It felt like a parody. Very silly parts which kinda ruined it for me.

The Dyatlov Pass Incident - 8/10 ........ pleasantly freaky and much better than I thought it would be. Nice twist too.

House of Cards - 2/10 ..... avoid, avoid, avoid ...... unless you like low budget poop.

RIPD - 8/10 ...... Men in Black but with ghosts. An enjoyable watch.

I thought it was okay, not great, lots of things in the plot that really bothered me. I would probably give it 5/10. Not something I would watch again.
no it is definitely no District 9, but still enjoyable
