What movie did you last watch thread.

I dunno who's in it, I don't ask anymore as the actors I grew up with are all very very old now and aside form the guys in Expendables they don't make that many movies anymore.
The new actors suck for the most part anyway, so one is much like the other

This weekend, if I can stay awake long enough we will try to watch either After Earth (No hope for this one tbh) or White House Down
The latter being a documentary on Bill Clinton as far as the title goes at least :/

You will have a better time watching Carte Blanche than After Earth. Do not even waste your time. Two hours that you'll never get back.

Gravity.

I really enjoyed it.

A good plot. It felt like it was a real life possible scenario. The special effects also felt real and were fantastic. Sandra Bullock and George Clooney were both really good. I'm not a Sandra Bullock fan, but she was superb in the film. For me, I'd rate it somewhere around 4 out of 5. Time well spent. Easily recommended. Whilst it happened in "space" it isn't really science fiction.

Here's the trailer:

G R A V I T Y

A visual spectacle.
Acting was top-shelf.

The movie was absolutely brilliant!

A must watch for anyone.

:)

I too watched Gravity over the weekend, and a funny thing happened. I read a few reviews of the movie and went with an expectation that the movie is going to melt my face with it's brilliance. But after the movie I felt disappointed. Yes, the acting is tremendous. Yes, the visual effects are truly magnificent and the 3D works perfectly for the movie, but I guess I expected more. But the more I though about the movie afterwards, the more I started to love the movie. So after a weekend of processing what I've seen, I am happy to say that this is a brilliant movie and worth a watch, especially in 3D. I wouldn't go as far as some reviewers and say it's the best movie of the year (for me Elysium takes that spot), but it's a close second.

Watched R.I.P.D. Not gonna win prizes for best actor or whatever, but just a nice, relaxing, fun action movie with lots of laughs to be found. Also watched This is the end...didn't like it much, the movie started out fun but as it went along it got boring and old quick.

EDIT: I almost forgot....the high point of This Is The End, Emma Watson...girl makes me gaga... If she had starred more in the movie I would have liked it more! :D

Chronicle

Camcorder-footage-style.

What starts off as a seemingly normal film about a student filming [basically everything], becomes something I didn't expect.
Very entertaining.

Wreck-It Ralph. Some good fun with a few video game references and cameos from various characters. I normally don't go in for animated films, but it did remind me of the good old days at the arcade.

Last movie I watched was The Lone Ranger and that was a spectacular fail in my books. Bad acting from Depp, a total screw-up wrt the Lone Range story adaptation and just bad flow wrt the movie in general. I was really disappointing because I loved the old school original series in black and white.

Watched I spit on your grave II. Just wow!!!!! It's absolutely gruesome. I thought #1 was bad but this one is even worse. Do yourself a favour and watch it. It's about a girl trying to make it in the model industry. 3 brothers that work as photographers end up kidnapping her. She gets her revenge. 10 out of 10 for a sick and freaky movie!!!

I spit on your grave II Review

Last movies I watched. The conjuring... not too bad, just have to finish it. and Flypaper, was very entertaining for me.

We're the Millers. Slightly amusing, bloopers at the end are the funniest. But I can tell you in 3 words why you HAVE to see this movie; Jennifer. Aniston. Stripper. :D
