"Hashtaging" essentially sums up a text or statement - leaving little reason why the entire statement is there to begin with.
It's the hipser take on TL;DR:
Back in my day people would post 100 word replies to questions and read it without batting an eye. Years later, said replies would be seen as walls of text, so the TL;DR was born. Fast forward to the Twitter generation and even a TL;DR-size chunk of info is too much to digest, so the #hashtag is born.
TL;DR: Modern people are too lazy to read.

Was actually going to make a mention of TL;DR, but felt it to be unnecessary. Guess you did me a favour - lol.
Edit: The world as we know it now will end when: #TL;DR becomes a thing. Ugh... I shudder at the idea.

(would've been SO MUCH MORE EFFECTIVE had there not been a bloody 10char minimum requirement)
Aaaaaand it's turned into a pet peeves thread![]()
Being a Christian, it kinda bugs me when people say "Jesus Christ" to exclaim frustration or instead of another swearword. I usually don't act on it and "take it with a pinch of salt" (as has been recommended in this thread), but when people take it too far and use phrases like "Jesus f***ing Christ" (or similar) it gets on my nerves.
Other than that I get HIGHLY irritated when people call me a liar to my face or believe I'm out to do them harm. I'm altruistic and helpful by nature, so taking a shot at my good nature makes me blow more than a few fuses.
I am only offended when i see someone posting or bragging about animals being hurt. eg. hunting or people who post how its so sad that animals are put in shelters but do nothing to help them.
We've got blasphemy laws in SAIs it considered blasphemy if you're non-religious and use it? Christians reading it may find it blasphemous.

Which is kinda crazy/outdated in my view but whatever.
