Interesting thread and poll, Eugene. Useful to hear how folks are perceiving activity on the forum.
It is worth keeping in mind that we're currently in a the annual quiet period for gaming.
I'm saying "articles" because it's basically just reposts directly from MyBB.
Just to clarify: I know you're referring to posts in the forum regarding news articles - there are quite a few from MyBB. However, the news on the front page of MyGaming which go into the Gaming News forum is mostly original content and is not simply syndicated from MyBroadband.
Obviously we do occasionally post something from MyBB that is relevant to you guys on our front page (big broadband price movements, etc. etc.), but it isn't a regular occurrence.
I try, but I feel there is a lack of in-depth gaming discussion. By that I mean threads like discussing gaming politics, trends, sexism in games, real in-depth interesting things.
Stuff like 'the latest games to play' or 'new game patch' etc etc don't really facilitate discussion, and too many times the intellectual stuff gets hardly any interest from other members.
The sexism in games/gaming/gamers is an incredibly hot topic right now, which as a male from a historically privileged background I've actively steered clear of debating in public.
The Zoe Quinn situation (or Quinnspiracy, I guess), I've also avoided like the plague, as I agree with Jim Stirling's approach to it:

But you've given me an idea... I'll post a thread a bit later and see what the response is like.
I'd also be curious to find out if there are strong enough feelings about topics like DLC, pre-orders, and the general state of AAA games to get a spirited discussion started. (I suspect we're all pretty much of one mind in this regard.)
Kevin, you should vote: "I find the regulars intimidating"
Hah!
We keep poor Kevin so busy it's no wonder the poor man doesn't really have time to post in the forum.
Isn't it ironic that the only way to get people discussing things, is to start a discussion about why people aren't discussing things?
This is not the first time this has happened to me this month. So funny.
Same here. I actually wouldn't be surprised if they end up merging everything.
Just to assuage those fears: while nothing is impossible, from where I'm sitting it is incredibly unlikely at this point.
Parting shot: There is some cool stuff coming your guys way soon (which had nothing to do with the stuff said in this thread).
