Will BT Games allow someone else to pick up a pre order?

One of the admins from ITF Gaming has already started speeding the word.

Edit: They have both started.

Awesome :D

Cant believe this but I just received an SMS from BTGames

Please note. D3 Midnight CE is delayed by supplier. Expecting stock next week. Notices will be sent. Apologies for the inconvenience. Regards BT Games

Is this place even for real? Beyond belief. How does this affect the condition that it MUST be picked up at the midnight launch? Joke.

Maybe you have to stand there while they take roll call and respond to your name and which point they will allow you to continue on with your life until further notice.

I am so glad that I am not in SA and didn't order through BT. I would be FUMING right about now.

/Checks Amazon.co.ul
/Sees Diablo 3 CE waiting to be dispatched.
/Smiles.

I think they got too much grieve over those "terms" and are now doing damage control but cant say "We are idiots, please dont not use us." so they blame the "suppliers". What a Joke.

And this is why they aren't even on my radar when it comes to buying/preordering.

Anyway, nice try BT.

hahahaha omg XD well luckily i have the digital version already linked to my bnet account so no biggy there. If this was my only copy i would probably go all massacre on them :O

All this kind of sux. I just payed my R100 long ago (online) and will go pay the other R599 at my local store on @ 00:00

I've received regular e-mails regarding my order and all is still in order they say. I've even asked my local store and they have a list there in store of the ppl who ordered online or @ their store and will pick it up.
They have not received any D3 copies at the store yet thou.

Guess I'll check back during the day on Monday :)

I bet everyone gets an sms on tuesday morning informing us that our CE are there. I rate it was just a stunt to avoid the storm brewing over the "YOU MUST COLLECT IT AT MIDNIGHT OR ELSEEEE"

We should start petitioning megarom / sterkinekor with complaints and to have their dealership revoked.

Good day,

I would please like to voice my concerns with BT games:

<insert complaint>

I'm really disappointed and can't believe that I was treated in this manner. I request that their dealership be relooked at as well as barring from exclusive deals.

Regards,
<insert name>

Complaints:
I have ordered a collectors edition, paid a deposit, but BT games has downgraded my order.

I haver order a game from their online site, it did say in stock, but next day my order was cancelled.

When I went to pick up my order it was incomplete as it was missing dlc codes.

They are only allowing collection at a certain hour.

I want to order a game, but are forced to do it only on a certain date and time.

They have oversold on title which I have to ordered.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Then we all in numbers mail them?

Saw this up on their FB Page:

Hi Guys, Just a quick comment to clear up the DIABLO CE delay issue that seems to be going around.

Last month we had orders come in that never made the amount of stock we had. So these people were notifed that their order for a collectors did not qualify. We then managed to secure and extra 200 copies of the collectors for these specific orders. We notified these people on monday of certain criteria we needed, to make sure they are serious about the copy. We have since been told that these extra 200 copies we have managed to secure did not make the first shipment for the game and are thus delayed. The deposit requested for these copies are included in the final price, and not extra.

All other Diablo Collectors editions are on time. so if you have an order and have paid your deposit and your latest confirmation says Diablo collectors and not Diablo midnight launch then your game will arrive on time.

Well the only way you will get people to change is with money, hence buy from somewhere else.

Well it's not really their problem per say, all they can do is suggest you use another retailer. It's not really their job to dictate how retailers do business.

What pisses me off is that BT often gets exclusive rights to sell the CEs for certain games, a la Skyrim. We should petition the suppliers to give those rights to a competent retailer, only problem is, who? BT and IC are the only ones doing preorders who actually have a physical presence instead of being online exclusively, and IC isn't far behind BT in terms of service and competency.

Yeah if not for the fact that BT Games has stores all over the place -making it conveniet to just go pick your purchase up- I would definately stick to Takealot/Kalahari/Zaps. But honestly I would rather wait that extra day to receive my stuff from someone online than have to deal with this bs everytime.

True, but what is the way forward then. Mass complain at CPA, lol on what grounds? somehow something needs to be done or they will just keep on doing what they are doing.

Yeah, but the problem is that if suppliers give out CEs to online-only retailers, they are possibly cutting off a portion of their market who do not have the means to either buy or pay for things online.
