Will you buy CoD: Black Ops without local servers?

Activision Discusses CoD: Black Ops Server Plan

There will be free servers, but SA still set to be left out in the dark

The CoD franchise has been particularly strong on PC in SA over the past few years. Even Modern Warfare 2 with its P2P matchmaking sold well.

However, as each week passes, we seem no closer to a solution for the lack of local servers for Call of Duty: Black Ops, which is set for release in November. Will you still buy this game if it ships without any local multiplayer option?

P.S. This thread is concerned with whether or not you will be purchasing the game. We are not interested in whether or not you plan on pirating it.

I'm not getting it all, will rather spend my money on MoH. I might get it in the long run however, but definitely not this year.

I won't buy it on PC, that will just be an epic waste of cash.

I will maybe get it on Xbox though, MP over xbox just works and it works well even when playing with people abroad.

Not my ideal preference for a 1st person shooter, but would still be fun.

Negatory.

But I'll take the same approuch as what I did with MW2....... wait and see. I'll get it if we somehow get servers locally.

Guys I just spoke to Jason at Megarom and he says activision have not released any official statements saying we wont get servers...

Activision have not released any official statements saying we will get servers, thus the wait and see approach holds firm.

Doubtful if there is no word on MP support. I love single player missions, but the MP is after all the major draw card.

Yeah i'll just get the PS3 version if the PC version doesn't have local servers.

My brother will get it and just like mw2 I will play on his, for me its a no for now, but I am not as closed minded as in mw2 this time around.

MOH will be fun, but I can't see it being COD fun, at least the beta didn't have the same fun factor, but who knows.

MOH FTW!

No will not be spending money on cod.

From the videos I've seen MOH looks better than Black Ops anyways - so I don't see why people are bothering with CoD when MOH might end up being the better FPS to have??
