Will you buy CoD: Black Ops without local servers?

Dude Crysis 2 is going to make our PC's DIE!!!

Nope. The developers say the CryEngine 3 engine runs way smoother than the first one even while rendering higher res textures, better lighting and more objects. It's going to be GREAT. :D

I dont think so hey. From what i have heard is that if you get 60fps (full settings with 16AA) on the current Crysis you should be fine. The first crysis was a beast. Dont think we will have a problem at all. At least i hope so. That is why i have been upgrading, is to get my rig Crysis 2 ready. I really hope i can at least get a steady 35 or 40 fps out of it. haha

You will be able to play it nicely dude, don't stress :D

Heard the same thing. Cryengine 3 runs way better than the previous 2

Thanks man. I really hope so. I just recently installed the first Crysis again. It runs freaken awesome. got everything on full even the AA on 16x. Really really nice. not one glitch.

My issue comes in when I try and run crysis at 2560x1440 which is my monitor's native resolution. I can play perfectly fine on "gamer" settings but setting it to "enthusiast" tends to turn into a slideshow lol.

Even on my 980X I'm now getting bottlenecked by my 2 GTX280s. :) At least it's easier to be bottlenecked by your GPU's rather than your CPU. So all it means is I'll just wait a while until the GTX480's become human-priced - then I'll buy two of those :D

Ja the tends to happen with the higher res. Lucky i only have a silly little 23inch samsung LED that can only do 1920x1080. Full HD is fine for me right now. I will look into getting a nice dell 30inch next year sometime maybe or wait till they bring a 27inch LED from Samsung. If i go for the Dell though i might hve to get 2x GTX480's just to keep my fps high enough. haha. so much money.

Xero, maybe phone these people?

Excuse me? Most nights I've tried, I land up spending more time in lobbies or with hung games because the host left mid game than actual game time. Match making might work on console, but it is the most fucked up system for PC. This is merely my opinion and everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I seriously detest the system. Don't get me wrong, the game itself is cool, but why can I not just start my game, click search browsers and double click to join a server of my choice?

Ok well that's you, I seem to find games ok, and yeah I am talking about PC not console.

You gotta have some patience boet ;)

The reason why www.gameservers.com is saying nothing, is because Activision has probably given them instruction not to. They want us to go out and buy the game, hoping that we will get local servers. Give it a week or two later, and they will come out stating that after "carefull" consideration, they are unable to bring any servers locally. Thus we get screwed and Bobby Kotch gets even more money.

And this I can almost guarantee is happening to all the areas/regions hoping for servers. Activision realised they can't get away with another IWnet fiasco, so they "gave us dedicated servers" so to speak, but not really, when you consider that many areas still aren't getting the full value of the game.

They should actually release a 33% of the full price version for those who do not want the MP portion or won't be able to realistically use it!
