Are you planning to upgrade to Windows 10?

Oh the joys of desktop PCs. I ran through all the available updates on my PC, of which one was a driver update. Queue a restart and my wifi isn't working anymore. Delete the wifi device in Device Manager and I get a BSOD. Restart and I get BSOD loop. Trying a system restore now...

/grumbles

Edit: Luckily it worked. Now off to see what I can do to get Win 10 on my gaming PC.

And mine started downloading at 6pm only 6% done :S

I've been downloading most of the day, it is at 85% now. It is downloading slow, it is going at about 80 KB/s on my 10meg line. Not sure if my ISP is seeing this as p2p and thus it is downloading slowly or what.

Meh mine failed, not going to force it, but what worries me is the little icon is now gone from my tray but I have the GWX running in task manager. I will leave it alone for now and see what happens rest of the week

I gave up on the updates and installed maar via the RTM ISO, did an upgrade. Quick and easy, should of done it from the start without wasting 6gb data :/

So far so good, looks new and different

Gonna go that route now. Did 3 tries already and wasted close to 15GB cap...

If my second attempt fails I'm going this route too.
Currently 58% complete...

On my fourth attempt now. :( The Update Tool didn't work either - started doing something and immediately exited. Tried running it again and just got a "Something went wrong" message. Deleted the temp folders and did a whole bunch of things the internetz recommended and finally reverted to another Windows Update attempt.

Funny thing is that this time it's trying to download 8,127.5MB, where previous attempts were between 3GB and 5GB in size. Read similar accounts on Reddit as well, with some people having luck on the "big" download. Well, 33% done right now, so will see soon.

Yeah so was mine but it never started the install today. So dunno wtf.

Anyways I'm posting from Win10. Hai gaiz.

posting on Windows 10 too didn't know the upgrade leaves everything the same as Windows 8 so didn't really need to backup anything could have done it long ago :p.

Finally got Windows 10 to install via the update method.
Found out that I had to return my CPU to stock speeds before it would install.
