Windows 7 RC

Just download from MS, judging by the speeds I'm sure it came from a local mirror.
 
sigh, been sitting on my win7 RC till i get my new HDD at work, then i can play with it yay which should be before or on this friday. damned dell taking so long with stock...

so last night i took the plunge and just upgraded my vista 64 to win7 64. it took awhile but geez it is sooooo much better.

I'm getting the RC from the other half this weekend. So excited.
 
So how's the memory usage on Win 7 compared to Vista and do all the Vista drivers work on it? My worry is that I have Vista running so smooth right now, it's compatible with everything I throw at it and it looks like Windows 7 as well. So my only reason to move is if it's better in every conceivable way.
 
I could never look back after Windows 7. Vista suited my needs and was fine. Windows 7 is like...listening to The Beatles for the first time. Wait, what?
 
Just gotta get my hands on the RC now to test it. My cousin better come through with sending me that copy :D.
 
Well, since Windows 7 is basically Windows Vista gone right, you shouldn't have any compatibility issues. I installed it just after the first beta copy was released and I only had one issue. That was with a Netgear driver (surprise!) that was fixed fairly quickly. Since then it's been smooth sailing. Runs like a charm. Very happy with it.
