Windows 7 RC

Yeah, the win7 home premium looks like it will be most peoples choice, but I'd go for the Professional.

must say i'm actually quite impressed with the XPM so far, i managed to get a whole xp developement enviroment up and running in it, just source safe i yet het to configure so that it runs from the xpm to the SS server, apart from that seriously its allot faster than i expected, especially when building and editing code for example directly in visual studio 200x

Ok so finally I get to run Windows7... Running it in VMWare 6.5
And I'm so amazed at the smallest thing.... the calculator... ROFL I can't help it but that thing is just so awesome... did Vista have the same one or is it new to Win7...?

Anyways here's my problem....
It SUCKS that I can't use my HD3870 in VMWare... or is there maybe a way that I don't know about?

It's a new calculator, Vista has the same one as XP. Graphics drivers cant work in VM or something, you'll have to do a regular install for the eye candy.

So I did an Windows 7 upgrade from Vista and I'm real impressed so far. Still looking for bugs and such, will report back.

I don't think you can get a pirated copy of Win 7 since its still in beta - all the product keys are pubic and valid

I know. What I mean is that the RC version of windows 7 will start shutting down every two hours until you install a non-RC version of windows 7.

EDIT: visit the link I posted and read under the section of "Here's what you need to know"

Ahh right :p

Well if you have the Windows 7 beta installed and don't install Windows 7 RC1, your PC will shut down every 2 hours starting from the 1st of next month ;)

So to those who haven't upgraded - make quick!

Right so it's been a day and I'm happy to report a practically bug free experience so far. All my games run as good as they did in Vista. The few things I observed is the Windows 7 does indeed use a bit less RAM than Vista did, exiting games that normally take long to do so in Vista exit near instantly now. I also noticed that the Win7 install is around 2 GB smaller than Vista. Quite happy so far, I can't go back to Vista after this :).
