I am yet to use a SteelSeries product. A mechanical keyboard will be a good upgrade to what I have now. And it's multimedia. Need my multimedia keys! Have grown too accustomed to it. :)
 
i havn't even owned a usb keyboard :p. really hope i win this one since this is what i'm stuck with

That's giant! Lol! Only kidding, but, it is huge. I think I used to have something similar, just not wireless. Had a wireless Logitech.. Those buttons were hard as f$ck to push. The most uncomfortable keyboard ever!
 
I have a steel series keyboard on my laptop. While it isn't mechanical, it is by far the best keyboard on a laptop I have ever had. I actually wanted to get a 6G over my black widow ultimate, but I couldn't find anywhere that had them in stock at the time. Kinda wish I had waited...

I've heard good things about this keyboard. And I'm not interested in macros and all those other things, so this would be perfect!

I just like the standard placement of the "Insert", "Home" cluster (that 6-key cluster above the arrows). I hate it when manufacturers mess with that!
 
I worked for a company that distributed SteelSeries products around the Western Cape, i have to say since that time, I've been a SteelSeries fan, I got to use the 7G keyboard, the Ikari laser mouse, the Xai when it first launched in SA and a few of their mouse pads, Steel series is built to last, great product, great quality, awesome gear!
