What does PrepaidGamer.com offer?

PrepaidGamer.com is an online retailer which specialises in digital game codes and game time for a range of services and games, including Xbox LIVE, PSN, World of Warcraft and Battlefield 3 (PC). Thanks to our automated software, codes are made available "instantly" on payment confirmation, 24 hours a day, allowing gamers to top-up without delay.

Where is PrepaidGamer.com based?

We're a 100% South African owned and run company, and operate our online store from the Pietermaritzburg, KZN area. Being in an area which is under-serviced by larger retailers and game-specific stores, we know all too well how difficult it is to get hold of games on time. The inconvenience of having to drive into a busy CBD-area or mall, find parking and then fight with the masses, only to be disappointed by high prices and the lack of availability, is something no gamer wants to contend with. We incorporate this thinking into everything we do, and strive to overcome the problems associated with brick and mortar stores through our online offerings.

What guarantee do shoppers have that your store is trustworthy?

We are a registered company and have been in business for over 4 years providing digital gaming codes in South Africa. Trust is a fundamental pillar of any online store, and we believe we have built a positive reputation over the years through honest business practices and always ensuring a high level of transparency when dealing with customers through our sister site MSPoints.co.za. Customer privacy and safety is also a top priority, and we incorporate the latest security and encryption technology to ensure the best experience when using our site and making payments. We invite anyone wanting to know more about our company to view our "About Us" page.

What is your affiliation with MSPoints.co.za?

MSPoints.co.za is owned and operated by the same company. PrepaidGamer.com is an expansion of our online offerings, allowing for a wider range of products, while still offering the same high level of service.

With Microsoft phasing out MS Points, is PrepaidGamer going to take over from MSPoints.co.za?

PrepaidGamer.com is a natural evolution for us, and we believe many of our current customers will find the new design, product range and overall features of the new site an attractive alternative. While Microsoft will be phasing out MS Points over the coming months, they will still be redeemable on Xbox LIVE through 2014, and so we will continue to support and provide our services via the MSPoints.co.za website for the foreseeable future, including the new Xbox Gift Cards which are expected sometime in September.

Cant see a poll so I presume you still making one, but a cool prize indeed for my Xbox.

Nevermind a refresh brought it up.

Nice prize and I will try their site out the next time I need points.

What is going to happen with these shops now that M$ is moving away from the points system?

Hey bokka1, while I can't speak for other sites, both MSPoints.co.za and PrepaidGamer.com will be stocking the new local currency "Xbox Gift Cards" when they release, which is expected sometime in September. They will work similarly to the current Microsoft Points system, but obviously be in local currency denominations (it's suggested SA will get R100, R300 and R600 vouchers, but it's still to be confirmed). We also plan to stock international Xbox Gift cards as well, including UK and US, for gamers with international accounts. There's no changes on the Gold subscriptions side.

So from our side, nothing will really be changing, other than introducing the new Xbox Gift Cards products on both sites, and slowly phasing out the older MS Points as gamers move over to the new system.

Cool, another site for my shopping list. I've bought from MSPoints a few times before, and I've been happy with their service, so that gives me confidence in prepaidgamer

they got some very nice prices.. i see their 1200 MSP is cheaper than evopoints'..:) might get my stuff there next time.. :)

I buy when I see a cool XBLA title on special, I currently have around 3000 points but still need to get TWD:400 days and then looking for state of decay.

So I don't buy monthly but I have bought online a few times :)

Thanks, that is great news.

I am a bit reluctant placing my cc details on a machine that can be stolen.

I was not aware of prepaidgamer.com before this competition. So with regards to that, it was already a success for them now. Will definitely keep them in mind when I want to buy points next time.

Thanks for the opportunity.

Hi James, i have voted for market purposes however i do not own an Xbox and would prefer to removed from the list of eligible contestants.

Thanks.

The system will work the same as the PlayStation RAND value cards.
However I find this works out more expensive than the MS points system.
Unfortunately the ppl crying for local currency cards (gift vouchers) did not think of the implication, with MS Points it was a global system, and users in regions could use the codes.

Hi James

Have entered the poll to add to records however I also want my name removed from the list.
I currently have a year gold subs and am on the beta program so can't make use of points. Other guys have more use for it than I at the moment.
