Half Life 1. It revolutionised what I expected from an FPS game, no longer where they simply corridor shooters, they could be soo much more. All story driven FPS's of today owe their heritage to the original Half Life.
 
hardest part in Baldur’s Gate II: Shadow of Amn was going in to the house on the bridge with the rouge stone and fighting lich, beholders and some vampiers. I spent hours getting the right stratergy down for killling those things.

Its such a pity I could only choose one title, but Rome: Total War won out on GTA III. I spent countless hours conquering greater Europe and minor Asia. Playing through all the houses! I've reinstalled Rome Total War about 13 times and have accumulated over 600 hours odd in game play. Micromanaging empires and huge epic battles remain as fond memories.

GTA III also has a very special place in my heart and I spent many a day thrashing it on my PSII! Good times were had!
 
Baldur's Gate II was freaking epic.

I remember being awestruck with the DND mechanics. This was THE RPG ever. NWN and Dragon's Age doesn't come close to this.
 
Yes, the Sierra adventure games are missing. King's Quest, Space Quest, Police Quest and probably my favourite, Quest for Glory (Hero's Quest). Sierra are at the core of some of my most endearing gaming memories. Roger Wilco, Baba Yaga, Erasmus, Abdulla Doo and who could forget Ad Avis.. Damn. Some truly awesome characters.
 
Definitely Starcraft 2. Best game ever made IMO. I really don't have words to describe how amazing this game is. The level of action, strategic play, plot, cutscenes etc etc is just....sooooooo goooooooood. Excellently made&polished to the max game (Like most of Blizzard's games are). Would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat.
 
Of the games listed, it would have to the most memorable tram ride ever... Half-Life :love: Not to mention the various amazing mods as well (CS, TF and Action-HL).
 
Baldur’s Gate II: Shadow of Amn still holds a dear spot in my heart. Started my love of RPG's. Enhanced edition will hopefully bring us the glory of original game with support for 1080p
 
I've always enjoyed assassins creed games.. i got 100% completion on AC1 and 2 and im planning to get it for 3 as well..
 
Mine isn't listed here. But I'll go for Half-Life 2. Have so many memories.
Most memorable, however, was finishing the game late at night. The awesome(est) part of the game.

i agree man! i voted Starcraft 2 out of these but i agree with you. MGS was probably the best game of all time.
 
Voted for half life but imo Battlefield bad company 2 was the best I have played. Brilliant visuals, good story and an awesome mp.
