Our friends at Ster Kinekor Entertainment have ventured into the gaping maw of hell, and brought back a Darksiders II Collector's edition to give away to one lucky MyGaming community member.

Darksiders II sees players filling the boots of Death as he tries to vindicate his brother War, who is accused of prematurely starting the apocalyptic end-war between the heavens and hells.

The game combines a number of elements borrowed from some of the best modern games. Dan Parmenter delved into that aspect of the game more in his Darksiders II review:

I’d even go so far as to say that it’s my favourite game of the year thus far, and I haven’t felt this twitchy about getting home to slay more demons and swipe more loot than when I lost an indeterminate number of hours during my high school years to the time-sink of Diablo 2.

How to enter

I would have to take the place of the rider of Me-phobia.
Feared throughout the mortal realm for my total awesomeness. Just my presence is enough to kill everyone in a room whether it be mortal, demon or angel with pure awesome... and i assure you, death by awesome is... awesome :D

I would play the neutrally awesome party in the apocalyptic war and would awesomely try to find a way to awesomely end it in an awesome fashion. No beast, nor angel, nor man would stand in my awesome way and if they do, would be slain in an awesome fashion till my goal is completed in an awesome fashion.

ill be the human who has neither heavenly nor demonic powers but still kicks major butt and constantly reminds everyone who is the boss.

I am NOS-4-A-2. A technology vampire (or Techpire for short), feeding off your gadgets, machinery... basically anything with a current, turning it against you. Your MP3 players will only play Telkom holding music, your TV's will only show Rebecca Black music videos and Sex in the City reruns, you will wish you rather died and gone to hell...

When our father went missing, my brother and I, Sam, went on a country wide search for him.
We were taught in the art of hunting the supernatural from a very young age, but nothing could have prepared us for the role we had to play in this apocalyptic chaos that has broken out between heaven and hell. Now we are standing here at the end of days, not knowing what tomorrow might hold, with our new ally Death. We are here to save the world, and this Death character thinks he is calling the shots, HA!

Throughout the war ridden world, there is a man, a modest simpleton, once known as a billing's manager, he sought refuge in the depths of the gold mines deep in the belly of the JHB gold rifts....he's only weapons against the demon spawn were a minecraftian pick-axe a t20 standard bank sponsored helmet, a ketty that survived numerous amounts of klei-lat wars on the mounds of a sandmine and a trusted pack of batteries(you ALWAYS need batteries!)...he had a modest chance at survival, ploughing through the tunnels that would lead him to his ultimate goal...the tunnels underneath sandton's gautrain stop, where he could once again climb through the toughest staircase in history to see the sun...the almost forgotten pleasure of wind blowing through his hair, the sweet scent of...well maybe not such a sweet scent...of the nelson mandela square....almost 27 days has he spent fighting pixelated demon's much akin to those in dungeon keeper, foul farting demons and maidens with long legs and very pointy heels....they felt like the 27years of mandela's hell yet he escaped so too can our hero...he intends to find the wonder, the true prize of a masked collectors set that would give him plenty, neigh many hours of scythe slaying in the world where heaven & hell collides.....

Playing a neutral party, trying to juggle the fortunes of both the demonic and angelic. Being caught in the middle makes for the most interesting path to saving the world.

Many thought him a fool for pursuing studies in Religious history of acient cultures but now in the end times he travels the earth protecting his books of knowledge, embarking in mind-games with angels and fooling lesser demons into submitting their powers to him. Slowly building his power to soon fill the pages of his books with myths of his own incredible deeds & trials.
Knowledge is both power and impartial in the battle between good & evil.

in a war between heaven and hell... one man stands at the center of it all. one man to tip the balance. constantly being tempted by hells sexy demon temptresses and pleaded to by heavens angels the decision is his and his alone. after eating the forbidden fruit the power has become his, and the choice is his alone to make. will he use his powers of evil allowing him to perform great feats earthly wealth and benefits at the cost of mortal souls? or will he he use the powers of good allowing him to perform great feats for the benefit of others and losing the opportunity for his own wealth... only time (and which outfit the sexy demon temptresses will wear) can tell....

The end is near...the foolish, incompetent angels have welcomed me heartily into their humble abode, they think I am one of them but they are wrong I have already fallen...for now I will make merry with them though my hand is forever urging me to draw my dagger, this dagger stained with the blood of my comrades but as the blood-lust swells within me, I think of my mission, my quest by morning this so called 'heaven' will be nothing but hellfire and brimstone, hahahahahha............... cough,.......choke...PS3

Caught between heaven and hell? Who cares about joining a side when you got a third camp. My camp.
Its not about wasting time on some third agenda, its about sending a personal message.
 
I would be the lazy bum, sitting on the couch in front of the lawn, watching the war going on with an extra large popcorn + coke.

I'll be the Nephalem (probably Barbarian or Necromancer) in the middle of everything making all the sneaky underground/black market deals happen(like a modern day weapons dealer e.g. Lord of War!) and also taking wagers on which of the sides will win!(Modern day Durban July maybe? Will bet on the horses of the 4 horsemen no doubt! Or type of sports-betting/casino where the dealer always win) :D
