The Witcher 2 Preview Impressions
In April, we sent out a preview build to journalists all over the world and have been receiving very positive feedback ever since. Here are examples of what some top sites have said about our upcoming game:
IGN
'You should definitely keep an eye on The Witcher 2. It's got brutal combat, it's telling an epic story, it has deep character customization, and is certainly not afraid to show you a little skin every here and there.'
Gamespot
'Graphically, The Witcher 2 was a beautiful game to behold, with its soft, muted color palette and realistic-looking sunlight. On the high graphical setting there was an impressive amount of detail on both the character models and the environment. The Witcher 2's revamped gameplay, impressive visuals, and dark storyline make for an exciting role-playing sequel.'
Gametrailers
'The Witcher 2 feels rich, multilevel and complex - full of details to be explored. Four years and a custom built engine evidently made quite a difference.'
Destructoid
'Western fantasy role-playing games have moved in different directions over the years. Now it looks like we finally have a game that tries to do it all, and in doing so might blow anything away that we've grown to kind of accept in recent years. If you were one of those people that complained about Game X and said "I'll wait for Witcher 2 instead," then congratulations: you were right.'
Kotaku
'The Witcher was one of the best PC role-playing games of all time. The Witcher 2 might wind up being one of the best PC games of all time. Find out on May 17.'
PC Gamer
'I just finished playing through the Prologue and the whole first Act - ten glorious Witchering hours, give or take - but is it really the epic RPG we've all been hoping for? Hint: Yes.'
