Woo! Load shedding, woo!

Welcome to a day of Stage 2 Load Shedding. I am scheduled for darness from 18:00 to 20:30 today, so yay me. And that means the WHOLE Somerset West in be plunged into powerless-ness during this time. Seems I'll have to go far to forage for food tonight

I thought food foraging was the in thing.
 
Luckily we're only scheduled for 22:00-00:30 unless they go into stage 3b, so I'll just go to bed early if that's the case.
 
Our power went off for about 10 minutes this morning while I was sleeping (the UPS' woke me up). When I woke up load shedding wasn't in effect.

Now I have another one coming at noon. Wish I had a gas stove. Guess I'm having cereal for lunch!
 
Our first DGL game was postponed due to load shedding last night... Seems like generators will not be a bad idea at all
 
I was so bleak last night... Load shedding from 6pm till after 10... I just went to sleep...
 
Luckily we did not have load shedding last night.
Now i'm hoping we never get LS.

After having our area's load shed for 14 hours last week, i think they are giving us a break.
 
I have loadshedding tonight 18:00 - 20:30, that is usually the time I game followed by watching series.

Hopefully stage2 turns to stage1 today to eliminate that loadshedding slot :D

You're lucky, the schedule has me for 18:00 - 22:30 today if it stays on stage 2

According to the radio, we can expect loadshedding S2 until at least 11pm tonight, unless things change in the mean time.

Sad.

I know the demand for power increases throughout the day usually. So we will most likely stick to stage2 whole day.

Ah bugger, that's going to suck, and I read somewhere that there might be a water outage this weekend as well.
 
I assume you guys saw the new tariff increases were approved? So now we get to pay more for a service that is becoming even more unreliable :(

I hope Koeberg's unit gets back online by the weekend without new hassles or missing bolts...

I swear it is time to join the rest of country in getting free electricity....

We must suffer because we pay ? I think this system is so far beyond broken, I just hope the water issues about to hit Jozi is resolved quicker and doesn't spread.
