Woo! Load shedding, woo!

Sorry to ruin your day, but I just got confirmation that there will be load shedding Saturday and Sunday. Saturday from 06:00 till 22:00 and Sunday from 08:00 till 22:00.

Its their new policy...residential consumers max exposure & they use weekends to rebuild reserves.

(Reserves being diesel levels in tanks, and water in the pumped storage facilities)
 
Saturday and Sunday night last weekend and now tonight again. And we're sitting with a very sick baby. Would go over to the in-laws but they haven't had power all day

We are scheduled for load shedding tomorrow and Sunday from 2pm until 6:30pm. Weekends are the only time when I can really play games and watch tv. :(

Maybe see this as an excuse to (give Eskom the F_|_nger) and get out of the house for 4 and a half HOURS!

Nah I was out of the house last night. If I go out anymore then I may get withdrawal symptoms. It can't be very good for you. :)

But yeah, I think I'll work in the garden and then braai.

This doesn't work though, especially because its Friday.
Work all week long, generally get home late every night...I don't want to go out, I want to relax and play a game or watch a movie.

I agree completely Joker. During the week there just isn't time for gaming. Weekend is relaxing time and basically the only time that I can touch my hobbies.

Apologies - the only places I ever see are my home and work place.

Neah bud, the amount of time I spend in the car and in traffic...when the weekend comes I don't want to drive any where.

Why 4.5 hours? Load shedding is only supposed to last for about 2 - 2.5 hours at a time. During stage 3 loadshedding, we are out in the early morning sometime and between 14:00 - 16:00. However, with stage 2, we're only out early morning.
