250 GB is more than ample, why would anyone want more?

I install all my games, download demos and I still have plenty space.

Agreed,250 GB is ample but you always get gamers who want more.
Maybe MS just did it to show Sony that they can.

Dammit, need an upgrade. Although, I only play 3-4games at a time really, and installing still leaves quite a bit of space on that.

Lol. Yup, and you know how bloody hard it is to find a HDD for this thing?

Not as hard as you think if you willing to do a little work and try this out.

Zaps sells the chassis for the hdd and you can use any one of the recommended drives there, costing you a lot less then if you bought the drive.

I think the the 320GB hdd is going to be for the gamers that like to run their games soft and quietly so they rather install them on their hard drives, I myself only do this for hugely sized games (LA Noire for example )
