Xbox 360 VS PS3

Hey

Im looking at getting a console too and what a chioce to make between these two.

Some of my buddies have Xbox and some PS3 and each one of them says they got the better console.

Im leaning towards the PS3 as i always enjoy watching movies and why not Blue ray. Also heard that the Xbox hardware gives problems. Online gaming is free i believe with teh PS3 on PSN, where as the Xbox you need to subscribe.

Then there are cool games on Xbox like Forza and Halo etc. Difficult choice.
 
Well its split.
Id say 60 percent xbox and 40 PS3. but i get to see the buddies with PS3 more than those with Xbox. the sad part is the guys with the Xbox normally have LAN's where as the PS3 not often in fact yet to still have one. and I ve been to a xbox lan and it is always awesome all nighter.

But things may change and you never know.

I like the feel of the Xbox Controller than the PS3 controller. Coming form a PS2 one should be used to the PS controller but that Xbox analog design is way better.

Anyways we will see what i end up with. Thank for the comments bud.
 
My long time pc loving brain has difficulty with the idea of a console LAN ........
It just isn't right I tell you!

I own both two and i think the xbox is just a little better, but ive had it much longer than my ps3. The ps3 dash is not as easy on the eye as the xbox dash and i just cant get use to the controller.

That's the thing...I really dislike PS controllers. It's been the same thing forever. I just can't get used to the feel of it. My old Xbox controller is big and bulky and feels like that 16bi Sega Megadrive controllers from way back when ... the X360 controller on the other hand (for lack of a better term) just feels right.

I like certain things about both controllers.

Now if those controllers would get it on; maybe the love child would truly be great.

For me there is one thing that hurt the Xbox in my eyes - All those initial RROD's. Also I like the idea of 1 game disc on BluRay instead of multiple DVD's the Xbox would have to deal with (but that has not shown itself as a true advantage yet).
 
Wow some of those stats are quite hectic lol.... :p Wii sold a shite load of consoles... I didnt expect it to be so high though :rolleyes:

Wii doesn't count.. :P ...... and i'm a little shocked at the 24% of xbox's break in the 1st 2 years... apparently i'v been very lucky...

Yeh and I heard there is a specific Model to look for when buying one... :rolleyes: I've had my PS3 for about almost 3yrs and not once had a problem with it... I dunno maybe mine is just loyal to me :p
 
I feel crappy saying this, but the Wii has already won the "3rd generaton console war". FFS they're doing so well, they could stop producing Wii games and consoles right now and STILL be the top dawgs for this generaton.

Sony and Micro$oft are merely fighting for scraps. Anyone who argues that they have any chance this gen against Nintendo, might as well argue that another MMO stands a fighting chance against World of Warcraft, or a FPS against Modern warfare.
 
LOL! 3rd generation heh...

this is the 7th console generation already. and the war is still going on. longevity is key. wii software sales are falling behind slowly.
 
Had a Wii, sold it. Was fun the first week, then it just sat there while I played my Xbox. The Wii's a gimmick, Xbox/PS3 is for us real men :P (and a few girls if they reading this...)
 
Wow didn't know the Wii was a 3rd Gen console, does explain a lot ;-). I love how some people comment but actually don't even know the generation we are in.

:( :o well i mean in Sony's 3rd generation. Also, these 3 console companys are the only current ones that are major players.
