Xbox 360 VS PS3

It depends what you're after. The PS3 gets points for being a Blueray player as well, but I prefer the Xbox for gaming because I like the controler better for one, and I prefer XBL to PSN.

But aside from exclusives (which they both have good ones), the games are much the same on either
 
I just find it amusing how all these old threads are re-awoken every time there is a lekker comp going that requires posts.

As for superiority, they both have merits and both have cons. Personally, I own the PS3 and love it. Nothing against the Xbox, I just wanted a blu-ray player and the PS3 made the most sense.

LOL, it will force a fair bit of activity. I usually just click What's New and reply to whatever looks interesting there.

I must say I've been spending a lot of time on another forum lately *looking sheepish* but awesome comps do draw the attention back somewhat
 
This again? I think it really comes down to what type of games you prefer to play and if you're the hardcore or casual gamer. Lets not forget about the Wii as well - it still sold way more units than either XBOX 360 of PS3. For me, its XBOX 360.
 
I recently got myself a PS3 (finally saved up the buck).
Now I found myself, each time when I want a multiplatform game, scouering the internet to figure out which system will offer me the most. It sucks!
I just don't feel that "bond" with the PS3 that I feel with my XBOX ... yet.
It feels like an alien. Sounding all high-and-mighty when it starts up and childish when a trophy "pops" (do trophies "pop" or is it just an achievement thing??).

I can say this: getting achievements just feels more ... rewarding! I don't know if it is the sound, locations on the screen, colour, flashing or who know what else, it just feels more satisfying!

I'm so glad my PS3 has a blu-ray drive in it. It's my only source of HD and I flippen love watching movies in full HD.

Also - It's a bonus. The day I stop gaming, my console still has a purpose and won't just collect dust.
 
I had the playstation 1 and 2... But I got the xbox 360 when it came out...:) each one has it's own benefits... I just wish that the xbox's online network was also free..

Both have merits i suppose.

But i wanted a blueray player and got the ps3 instead.
Already strted the blu ray colelction :p

i dont like the xbox controller, feels odd to play with.
The PS controller has always been the "normal" contoller.
 
X360 all the way! I was always a sony fan and after doing some intense research on the matter I decided to go for XBox for my latest console. More games, better support and I like the controller more, PS controls are made for tiny Asian peops, not for my manly hands...
 
Oh FFS, this is post padding if I ever saw it. This thread is LONG since dead and buried.

Seriously okes, there are far easier ways to post pad. There are a hell of a lot of threads made daily. Go comment there!
 
I'll end this discussion... I own both... so I have the best and worst of both and I can choose what to buy on and my life is awesome and yes I'm broke
 
i love my ps3 but the only thing i think is cool about the xbox is the user interface!
sony should take a note out of microsofts book in that regards
 
PS3 as a media player is way better than Xbox 360......Xbox360 controller is way better than PS3......Games are on a par in my opinion....prefer Xbox live to PS Network....Pros and Cons. Its all personal preference. My opinion....Buy BOTH!
