Xbox one permanent discount

Guys claiming the Xbox isn't selling well, your completely wrong.
Just go look at the international forums and see how guys are struggling to find stock, it is selling just as well as the PS4 even though its not even released world wide yet (Dumb ass move this). Yes it is weaker than the PS4 and yes I prefer the PS4 over the Xbox one but this whole fanboi business is really becoming retarded now.

Its a console, the ps4 is a better console from my point of view..leave it at that.

That bad boy is still making it's money...and they were smart in releasing only in areas were they are already guaranteed a very strong consumer base. My only issue is that they need to take steps to restore a positive image for themselves.

From the horses mouth early adopters are getting nothing as compensation.
Microsoft has said that it's "hugely appreciative" of those who picked up an Xbox One at launch, but clarified that it "can't offer a retroactive refund" to those upset about this week's price cut.

Speaking to OXM about the price drop, Xbox UK marketing director Harvey Eagle said that the company is "hugely appreciative of people that have supported us since launch. What I would say is that mainly the consoles that were bought in the run-up to launch did come with a game included, and this offer is timed to celebrate the launch of Titanfall.

"Unfortunately we can't offer a retroactive refund to people, but we thank them very much and we're hugely appreciative of them being on board since the beginning."

Microsoft announced earlier this week that Xbox One would be receiving a permanent price cut this Friday, dropping the price from £429.99 to £399.99. For a limited time, the console will also include a free digital copy of Titanfall or FIFA 14.

Understandably, though, the news upset some fans who paid full price for the console at launch.

"Currently waiting to get onto support," wrote VideoGamer.com user Karlius. "Complaining about being part of the xbox one beta and having paid £30 for the privilege. Lets see how this goes lol."
Dont buy consoles on day 1 you are going to get the shaft either with price drops or hardware failures.Let the first world beta test our shit.

Why do they have to compensate them? Please explain to me.
I don't get it, so you buy a game for $60 a month later it goes on sale for $30 are you then gonna go to steam and demand to be somehow reimbursed or try get something from them?

Prices on PC hardware changes almost daily, you don't see people bitching about having to spend extra on something that was R5000 last month and now costs R5600 or just after purchasing the price drops by R600, its just how the world works especially when it comes to early adopters of both pc hardware, consoles, new release games ect ect.

Price changing is common practice and if you don't want to be part of it then don't be an early adopter.

The main thing here is because its related to the Xbox One, so everyone has to bitch and cry, if this was the PS4, I bet you it wouldn't get half as much attention, or it would be seen as a positive thing ;)

I don't think they need to get compensation that is the price you pay for early adopting but if people want to complain let them.In any case the titanfall bundle is only for the UK and will be a limited supply.

Yeah the warriors are out in full force,I really think this constant bitching is caused by twitter. It makes it so easy to complain to developers and industry execs. The entitlement of the youth today is crazy they think the world owes them.

This makes a lot of sense, I guess I've never thought about it that way with things like consoles. You speak (type) well sir :)

You have met gamers on the Internet before

A lot of fuss about this. It'll always just get cheaper. ALWAYS. As for compensation, it is needless. Nintendo handed 3DS early adopters games as a gesture of good faith, not because they had to. Nowhere does it say that if you pay one price today and it changes tomorrow, do you need to get compensated for the difference.

If you buy day one, be prepared to shell out more than the guy who buys it a few months down the line. The same happens with digital comic books. After a month, there's a $2 price drop compared to release day. We don't complain about that, because that would be complaining about logic.

The main reason the world is losing their minds is that although this is common practice for PC hardware; such an early drop is unprecedented for consoles. People don't like change; especially change that affects them negatively (*them being the people whom already own the console ).

A bitter pill will always be unwelcome to swallow.

Nah man, but it honestly feels like its just been released. And its not like some small item either, it takes years to design and its meant to have a long lifetime. It can't be compared to a comic book or anything similar. Its a big slap in the face for those release date guys.

It was released November last year bud, its been 4 months and although it is a short amount of time its well within their rights to do so. The guys complaining are just tards for expecting anything different. I've already explained it but its just how the world works, they want the console to compete with the PS4 on every level and honestly now that its the same price as the PS4 they will def sell more because there are thousands of parents/kids/people that don't care about graphics or exclusives they just want a new console so they'll most likely pick up the ps4 because its less expensive, that changes now.

The price drop is only for the uk not worldwide and it was badly needed sales are floundering you just need to look at the sales of Xbone games in the uk.

Yeah for now it is, its a matter of time before it gets lowered everywhere else.
I think by the time we get the console in SA it'll cost exactly the same as the PS4.
