You can now watch DStv on your consoles

lol I actually tried setting up an account on my Xbox One on Thursday night, only to realise flash player was required. I might give this another bash now. I don't see why they can't just develop an app for consoles like PS4 and XB1.

Not via Kodi, but you can download a desktop player for DSTV onto your PC, or use the DSTV app on an Android device if that is what you use. I use an Android powered mini PC connected to my TV with the DSTV app installed, and it streams DSTV no problem.
 
Okay, so can anyone else confirm if this is functioning? The page loads for me, but I just get a black video block without any loading or playback.

If I google whether it's possible to watch DStv on a console then this article is one of the top links. And you read the heading and you are like: Yes!

Not at all. I've personally tried on Xbox and PlayStation. I have DSTV Premium details and accessing via https://now.dstv.com/

Haha cool thanks. Maybe at MyBroadband you guys can try and find out if there's any plans to make this a reality. Or maybe if there will ever be a Smart TV app that supports it. :)
